This is a deck using a technique I call PINCH. There is an article in this months Concrete Wave magazine about six of the decks that were built using this technique.
9 1/4" wide
34 1/2" long
3/8-" concave
Weight 3 1/4 lb
TOP
- Carbon
- bi-axial fiberglass
- 7 layer pinched maple veneers
- carbon
- carbon
- Clear coat finish
BOTTOM
The deck is super stiff with very little torsional flex.
I think I could remove 2 veneer layers from the stack and it would still be stiff enough and probably reduce the weight by 1/2 pound.
I built it as a pool board but it might be good as a slider or maybe a downhill board.
Enjoy
Ted
