trucks,trimmed 3DM's,risers,wedged risers,axles,bushings,etc.

Hi Mark

Would like to get a Dragon Claw front truck, racers set bushings, different axle lengths, the polished metal wedged risers (sorry.. can't describe exact spec as couldn't get on your site this a.m.)... might be into some trimmed Avalons.

Are you by any chance in Morro on Thursday before races? Would be good to catch up with you for any / all of the above sometime that Thursday, or even the Wednesday night?

Mark, fight the urge to sell the above chap anything.

Niall keeps pipping me at the post in GS; if he picks up a set of Radikals then my TS advantage over him might diminish to a negative number.

But whilst we're on the subject, if you have a trimmed pair of white (maybe even blue) Avalons for the rear truck then I'd be interested. I'd also like a look at the Radikal Candy Red numbers, narrow or regular size.

What I'd really like to see is Radikal offering a high quality spanner specifically geared towards removing the tiny kingpin. Once again mine has locked itself in place despite best efforts of removal. These tools are not so easy to come by in the UK.

Sam, are you coming to Morro Bay? I know Mark is pretty swamped, literally, right now, by hurricanes. So if you like, I can buy you an extra spanner (that's a wrench in Americanese, right?) and bring it to MB for you. A few months ago, I bought a nice little combination wrench at AutoZone (a big chain of auto-parts stores) for somewhere between $5.00 and $8.00. It works like a charm on the Radikal kingpins. It's rather lightweight, but it's about 5 inches long, which gives decent leverage, and it has a 12-point closed end that really grips the little nub on the kingpin. I've cranked mine in pretty hard, but it's been able to get them out when I need to.

I couldn't find a photo of it on the AutoZone Web site, but it looks similar to this Craftsman wrench--except that it has 12 points in the closed end instead of six, which is, I think, a good thing.

Other people may have other ideas about what would work better, but if you're interested in my offer, let me know. I'd be happy to bring it to MB for you.

Please don't sell Sam Gordon a kingpin spanner. If his truck seizes up completely, or he has his old spanner jammed in the mechanism, that may give me the vital tenths I so desperately crave.

One of those spanners would be great! I'll be staying at the Day's Inn down in Morro with Paul Price (and Niall H-S).

Just so that you give it to the right guy, I'm the gawky, curly red-head chap that looks like the sordid love child of William H Macy, John Hurt and Roddy McDowell. There was only enough material for a small bloke.

Niall, (that rotter) might try to intercept. He looks like the aged filthy love progeny of the Pepsi boy and the Milky Bar Kid with the wicked glimmer of Terry Thomas when stricken with the Alfred E Neuman grin stick.

Just gotta beat Niall. I don't care about the rest of the Worlds.

Niall, would it please you, then, to know that I intend to charge Mr. Gordon a hefty finder's fee for the item in question? I'm thinking somewhere in the $200.00 range, in keeping with the lofty price tag on the trucks themselves.

All I need now is one more wrenchless Brit, and I can pay for my whole trip!

Get along to Tottenham Court Road!!!. Up the top end there is a shop called "Buck & Ryan" one of the Best Tool shops in central London

They will sell you a very nice 7mm spanner, without Mr Harms $200 finders fee, however for providing you with this information, i will require a finders fee of 2 pints Grolsch plus packets of Cheese & Onion Crisps!!
