Site Sponsor Schedule 2010

Post by Jani Soderhall » Tue Nov 17, 2009 10:08 am

It's time to ask the participants of this community to share the costs of the site's maintenance. We need 12 generous skaters to pay for next years costs. Ideally new sponsors, but everyone's welcome. First come, first served.

Thank you!

Due to my double membership-payment, I really want to sponsor April if it´s possible.

Robo - Team Fat Bastards

<Ed note: OK, it was my mistake, so I've put you up for April. /Jani >

Are there still problems updating the site sponsor - I have sponsored the site for October, two days into the month and we still have JBH up for September?
Or ist just your way of asking for another spank Robbo? :o)

Rob,

If you think that two days is long overdue you're a candidate for the site sponsor updater position, if it's up for grabs! No, seriously, let's not change! Robo is doing a great job. Most of the time it's changed before I have even realized it's a new month. Thus obviously quicker than I ever was!

I´ll do a better job in the future.

Maybe you computer-wizards out there knows how to make the change in another way?
Maybe letting the computer do it when the date change?

I can hardly change my underware, so if you know how....please tell.

At least the socks are of the same color. At least you got that right!

The site sponsor thing is something we have invented and it's not a standardpart of phpBB forums. We just decided to edit the footer, so I don't expect to find any already-developed-solution for this update. Of course it can be programmed, but I don't think it's really worth spending any effort on that. There's plenty of more important things that could be done (step 1: update to the latest version of phpBB). I'd appreciate if you can continue as is. It also allows a certain flexibility as to links etc, so maybe it's just as good to do it manually.

I will continue until someone starts a poll about it, and vote me away.

If someone comes with idea to start to vote you away, i hope that person will come with better solutions.
So please continue good work as until today, and thanks for that.
