Team Virage "Flow"

Post by Michael Stride » Fri Mar 06, 2009 2:08 pm

A team of individuals. Remember 'TEAM' has no 'I' in it, but does have a 'ME' if you look closely.

Remember “Teamwork is essential - it allows you to blame someone else”.

So, with that in mind the team currently consists of Sam Gordon and Pelle Gustafsson.

If I hear of ANY shennanigins, or conduct liable to put Virage into disrepute, I'll just have to ignore it I guess.

Just hold on a goddam second...

Isn't Pelle the chap who forgot his flight departure time at the GOG race, thinking 16:00 meant 6pm?
Isn't Pelle's best Giant Slalom result recorded when all he wore was a lime mankini?
Doesn't Pelle gauge his tan from the 'commonly requested hardwods' colour scale?
Isn't Pelle the only chap in the World with an 'I beat you Sam' T-Shirt?

Here's a shot of the bloke when he landed backwards on all fours in Latvia having taken a wrong door in the plane trying to join the 'Mile High Club:'

Resilient to say the least.

Now I know where I belong in the scheme of things.

Pass the HP Sauce!

New Team Manager

Post by Michael Stride » Sat Sep 19, 2009 10:04 pm

Now with time on his hands and a supermodel on each arm we have just found a new manager Flavio Briatore.
he's well known for having the highest standards of sportsmanship, and all the rumors of using illegal electronics at Bennoton, poaching Schumacher from Jordan, and organising crashes to help his races are patently untrue.

So if you see either Sam or Pelle fall after having things whispered in their ears its purely a co-incidence.

Here he is just after being informed about his new position as team manager:

And after Pelle whispered in his ear:

Stand by your bunks team members! Virage Vites on their way to you. (Both)

Also, for 2010 I hope to announce a Brazilian team member.

Any ideas who we might approach as a U.S. Rider?

Applications accepted. Must have the elocution of Sam Gordon, and the haircut of Pelle.

Happy to welcome the blazing Brazilian, Bruno Oliveira to team Virage 'Flow'.

Well known for his smiling attitude and McDonalds 'Hamburgler' impressions Bruno will be a fine addition to the team joining Sam Gordon and Pelle. (Not Pele the footballer).

We'll be sending him some Virages and a Vite as soon as possible.

Congratulations Bruno! Michael couldn't have picked a better rider to sponsor! Now all you've got to do is stop skating miniramp and kick some ass racing slalom.

New Year, new team member!

I'd like to welcome Terence Kirby, (AKA 'TK') to the gang.

For those that may not know him TK was at the forefront of the resurgence of slalom and is a hard, fast racer on the east coast of the U.S.A.

He took a sabbatical from racing for his family, and is returning this year for 'The Farm'. I'm really pleased that this return to slalom and racing is on Virages and Virage Vites!

Here he is racing in the Boarder Cross at Paso Robles a few years ago.

Hey Mike, with all these superstars in the team don't you think it's time to sponsor a late 40's rookie in his first full year of competition in Australia?? Have the trucks, just need the T shirt.

So I Say Lay 'your threads' on Me, and I will say Thank you for the T shirt.

Robs, email me your address and size and I'll send one to you in the morning. I think its so much cooler to wear other teams shirts.

Will you do shirts for men?

I am thinking we may have to get trousers made after watching the Norwegian Curling team in Vancouver.
