How Do All ;-)

Fist Post,

My name is Barry, I live in Middlesex, England, U.K, (nr Heathrow AP).

I am new to slalom, and I am loving it, though I think I have picked a bad time to get into it as the English weather is true to form and it looks like the rest of the summer is going to be a total wash out :-(
I have other board interests including Mountainboarding, Longboarding, and LDP but so far I think trashing a line of cones is the most fun I have had yet.

Last week I had my first time out skating with other slalomers in Hyde Park, London, a very friendly and helpful group, I really enjoyed not having to skate by myself for a change, just as I was settling in the heavens opened and the road instantly turned in to a river, luckily there was a nice tree to to shelter from the rain & lightning ;-?
Still got soaked but also stoked for the next time.

I have lots of questions and ideas but I prommise not to dump them on you all at once.

Thank you both for your warm welcome.

I am looking forward to going to a race meet sometime so I can see what I have been missing out on, I need to get a whole load better first though, at first I thought you were meant to knock over as many cones as possible in the shortest time! Live and learn.

Great to see another Brit slalomer out there. If you get a chance Barry grab a lift with one of the Hyde Park Boys and sample the delights of a Hove session before the summer ends,

Thanks for the welcome, I hope I will get the chance to sample Hove, "Before the summer ends"? I thought it had ended, Maybe we will get a second flush of summer in September.
