HELMET: Not so fast, Lone Starr.
LONE STARR: Helmet. So, at last we meet for the first time for the last time. Yeah.

HELMET: Before you die, there is something you should know about us, Lone Starr.

LONE STARR: What?

HELMET: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former room-mate.

LONE STARR: What's that make us?

HELMET: Absolutely nothing. Which is what you are about to become. Prepare to die.

Post by Dominik Kowalski » Fri Feb 29, 2008 8:02 pm

Yeah baby!
After long time thinking, building, shaping, re and overthinking again, we got our act together to finally present you the SPEEDBOAT.

Image

What you see here is probably one of the sexiest shapes you've ever seen, which is not only ment to be sexy but functional, which it is!
It is basically a board for technical downhill, but a super giant slalom is also in it's favour. The process is still not over, but as you can see, we haven't been sleeing at all.

More info and pics are coming!

Looks super f$cking bad-ass. I would've expected nothing less. As with all foamie DH decks, though, you're gonna be crying if you lose control and launch that baby into a curb headfirst.

Well and therefore I think this deck won't be allowed to be used in an IGSA event:
2007 COMPETITION
RULES AND REGULATIONS

VIII. DOWNHILL SKATEBOARD SPECIFICATIONS
A. DECK:

The deck must be structurally sound and not pose a safety hazard. It must not possess sharp edges, which could injure riders. It may be any shape within the size limits.

Sorry guys....

no need to be sorry fool :P it looks pretty sharp, but it's not. I cut it out on photoshop a little bit too hard....the edges will be slightly rounded. Again, this is still the prototype, I know well that nobody wants to get stabbed like that.

Well, I just wanted to make a remark so you know about the "rules" if anyone is going to enter an IGSA race with one of these boards...
I personally don't want to be stabbed in the ankle when racing Dom and crashing even though racing Dom is fun! ;-) There's always a remaining risk :-P

It has nothing to do with rules or no rules when you crash with 80km/h....

This will not be a historic exhibition. We are focusing on the production today and beyond.
It will be big and beautiful with the house filled with boards, wheels, trucks and gear.
We are a designmuseum and will take a look at the products through the eyes of our disciplines.......design, fashion and craft.
Of course there will be some historic things that we will mix in with our permanent collections.
You are most welcome to visit.

You edited my post...

As a matter of fact, yes, everytime i saw something potentially dangerous for 4 men heats downhill racing, i posted a comment about safety to the mfg. I also told a racer last year at Top Challenge riding a solid aluminium board with hooks on the side to think about changing it, later the same day i did catch that board while filming, it was going straight in the crowd after he crashed.

editing your post was a mistake i made
i wanted to quote you
designing any board is the freedom any manufacturer has
racing with the board at any contest lies within the responsibility of the rider
telling people that something might be wrong can also be done via e-mail!

ok let's not go through this fxck you to fxck you again, although it is not written out, but lies between the lines...

As I "pointed" out, it looks sharper than it is, cause I cut it out on the pic like that from the proto, which was allready sharper than to be entended, I do know that you won't be able to take this to a race, which of course is ment for that, and not only for looking good, rigth?

I looked over my drafts, and it is not that sharp at all! But to make all happy, I'm going to smooth it out a bit more. So ya'll be smooth! Just smooth, but I think it's still better to just go out of the way, when you hear it coming! eheheee ;)

shit happends anyway, sharp or no sharp, hard or softy, it will always hurt, when something hits you with speed.

BIG RYAN Texas Oultaw road that board to place 10th place at Indian School. The board held up well. Imagine going 40-45mph constantly hitting wall after wall. But that board pulled it off. Don said it would and it did. Amazing speed machine. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws/Pavel Flow

Or who knows what else?
