Sessions are on

Post by Curt Chapman » Thu May 03, 2007 4:13 pm

We're still meeting on Thursdays at the "U" around 5 pm.

5/3 - weather permitting. It's been raining during the night, but has cleared up as of now, (about 8:00 am) so hopefully we'll have dry pavement by 5 if it doesn't rain more......

missed out!

Post by trish erickson » Fri May 04, 2007 5:59 pm

Man, I soo missed out. I have my boards and cones stashed in the ambulance. I was ready to play but life hit and I had to play boss and resolve a few issues last night. If everybody in this world would just SKATE HAPPY there would be no problems to resolve Right!? I have to work next Thursday as well, but again, I will try to get to the U. I am also working all weekend so no skating for me for a few days. Good for you Cat, 'cause it means I no practice! LOL.

Just got off the phone with Kevin,he and I are going to be there. Can't wait I've spent far to much time off my board. Between moving, playing a show with my band, and building a guitar for my son's Sr. project I've been real busy. I must say the guitar turned out so sweet, I wanted to keep it for my self. Looks like I'll have to build another.
I did stumble on to some brand new asphalt 3.5 miles from my house, off Hwy 91 they put in a rest stop/Historical site. It's not real steep, but very smooth and real wide with a huge dead end, plenty of room to stop.
See yall Sat.

British weather...bollocks!

Post by Martin Drayton » Thu May 10, 2007 10:03 pm

I am so jealous....Typical British weather here rain interspersed by wind AND rain! We have a comp looming Saturday and I have been on my board twice, but it'll probably be rained out anyway....Make some turns for me!

Hey UPCers
I found a killer road by my house for tight slalom, new asphalt long with a great run out. Kevin is going to meet me at noon on Saturday for a session. If any one wants to meet us there your all invited. I know its quite a drive for some of you,but the road is sweet.
Heres the directions take I-15 to the Brigham City exit which is Hwy 91, the Hwy passes through Preston. The road is about 5 miles out of town. at the end of town the road splits to a Y,stay in the left hand lane and you'll still be on Hwy 91. there is an Airport on the left side. When you pass the Airport you'll start heading down hill and cross the Bear River, then it goes back up hill. as soon as you get to the top of the hill you'll see a sign that says Historical Site. Turn right on that road and your there.
Hope some of you can make it.

Last Saturday was great. Nice roads,it was great sk8in with Wax. We had a killer tail wind that made you haul ass.
Hi Martin I hope the comp turned out good. let us know how you did. Thanx again for the Indy it made a big differance. faster faster and more control.
Hope to see some of you there

Thursday 5/31 session

Post by Curt Chapman » Wed May 30, 2007 4:40 pm

This Thursday's session will be held in Park City at Kimball Junction.

Last time we met there we were near the Starbucks, so I guess that's where the spot will be. If we're not near Starbucks, we'll be somewhere close in a parking lot....

Around 5 PM as usual....

If anyone needs directions or more information, PM me....

Thursday 6/7 Session

Post by Curt Chapman » Wed Jun 06, 2007 7:15 pm

This Thursday's session will be held in Park City at Kimball Junction again. We had a lot more success last week in Park City, so this week will be the same.

About 5-6 PM, probably closer to 6. (Weather permitting of course. Hopefully it will stop raining....)

Everyone's welcome. Las week we had longboarders, shortboarders, carveboarders, a kid was even running cones on one of those Wave inline boards, so come join the party.

Here's a map, for those that need directions - the red star marks the spot....

Wow. Trish got some time off to Skate!

I know the Scott cannot be there tonight, but I'm planning on it. We've had much better luck in Park City, so let's say the usual parking lot at Kimbal Junction between 5 and 6.

This Thurday (6/21) we will be dodging cones in the parking lot of the stadum at the "U". (Or you can come and skate the campus too if you would like, but come to the stadium and say hi to the slalom geeks too.....)

I'll be there early, probably around 4:30, as I will have to leave early.

Others have promised to be there with cones to skate as long as anyone would like.

different day

Post by trish erickson » Fri Jun 22, 2007 1:30 am

Finally, I am able to re-connect with the world. My internet service has been down for a few days.

About Thursday nights: I am up to change them to Wed. I have forgotten that Tues. and Thurs. are taken up with Carly's softball and it just seems like a hard night to get together. So I will not be down to skate on Thursdays. Curt, I meant to leave you with a bunch of cones last Thursday. Sorry about that. I really have not given up on this sport. I skate almost everyday. I love to skate the campus and I have every intention of getting down there soon. I will post the days I can go so if anybody would like to join me....Again, sorry I am posting this sooo late. Hope to catch u all soon.

Sorry about Sunday. I've got some major house / yardwork going, and couldn't work it in.
Hope you skated anyway without me.
