Well I'm running it exactly the way Richy sent it to me. It was a matter of some concern for me since I haven't ran any wedging since I got my Rads. However I was persuaded to run it this way and I have to admit I'm hooked. I took it out today and ran a cyber course just so I could have some basis for reference and I'll tell you I was running most of my runs into the wind and it was still almost as fast as my fastest time. Running with the wind was great but since I didn't take the time to set up a timer (I was timing myself with a stopwatch) I really can't claim a faster time than I've posted but I bet I could and that's on the first day I've really rode the board.

Anyhoo the way it's set up is 2 10º wedges and what looks like a 1/4" flat riser in back and the same 2 10º wedges in front along with a 1/8"? riser.

It's got some real gnarly grip on it.

Joel -- Really stoked you are having success with your new ride! Looks like that snake print beauty found a good home with you. ;) Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress.

Luke -- Truck upgrades are an excellent idea if your budget will allow. We build our wood AXE series completes standard with Tracker Racetracks which are very efficient at their price point for an overall excellent entry level race setup. For serious racing competition-- high performance trucks will definitely take your setup to another level. We have built many AXE wood series completes with truck upgrades and are happy to do a custom quote for you. We stock G.O.G., Splitfire, Radikal and our own mods. We always customize each complete (stock or upgraded) to the rider's weight and most frequent discipline and are truly committed to making the best racing combos that are dialed and ready to perform -- courtesy of the Brown Bomber. . .

As Joel found out -- even if you only need a deck -- you will get nearly $20 worth of hardware FREE -- since we include at no extra charge front and rear truck wedging, mounting hardware and hardcore grip tape -- standard with every AXE deck we ship. That's an awesome value any way you look at it.

Luke -- If you go with an AXE -- it will come with the correct wedging -- and you will be set to bolt your trucks on and go. If you decide on a different deck -- then wedging is relative to that deck's design and you would need to check with the manufacturer on what wedging, hardware, etc. to buy (hopefully they know).

Civ -- Feeling is mutual. You are a quality person and it's been great to watch you improving over the seasons! '07 season will be here before we know it and we look forward to seeing you then. :)

Luke.. Give the lady a break! sk8kings will send you the correct wedging and hardware for the trucks you opt. It's a proven fact they take care of their clients..Become one, then be a living example of their commitment to racers needs!
You'll love an AXE and the goods hat come to mount it and go!!
ENJOY!! (while you can)

No hassle Luke -- you're cool. Yes -- same wedging -- it's relative to the board's design. Richy (Brown Bomber) has experience with all the trucks we've mentioned and designed the AXE series so we'd never steer you wrong. Take care.

I got my AXE II just before the Dixie Cup so needless to say I did'nt spend much time on it before racing it. I rode it Friday night but never felt right. Then I rode it in the GS. It rode awesome but I think I chose the wrong wheels.

It wasn't until today running cones with some DC Outlaws that I discovered the magic. We set a hybrid on one of our local spots. All I can say is each run got better and better. That board is so versatile for so many tybes of courses. I should have rode it on Saturday at the Dixie.

Thanks Richy and Maria for making sick boards. Can't wait to skate my AXE I.

All I can say right now is that in a little over 24 hours from now, I'll be hitting a hill for the 1st time in '07 with my Axe and new Splitfire (thanks to my mother-in-law who ALWAYS hooks me up with dope Christmas presents)! It's sunny out now and I'm jonesin' for some cone-weavery!

And, to the topic, Sk8Kings ALWAYS comes through with equipment that can be run right out of the box!
