Hey Lemmy, not sure which Chris you were asking, but Fadell and i should be rolling into town about 1:30 or 2:30 Central Time, depending on how much traffic we hit in Indy.

Greg wont know for sure if he can make the trip until Friday morning

That being said, if he cant make it, i'd hate to get a room for just my lonesome, so if i arrive solo, can anybody put me up for a coupla nights?....i'll bring a sleeping bag...

doh.. i wish i would read posts before I try to reply.. i thought you were asking how to get to tower grove?

You could alway just hang out at the park. or go see the Arch (10-15 minutes away), the Zoo & science center is 10 mins away, both free.

Slalom St. Louis 2005 Itinerary/ schedule…

Friday May 27 2005: For anyone coming in Friday I have nothing planned for you. I can suggest going to get eats- movie library or the Rib America traveling cook off, (Morris day and the time will be playing on the main stage – don’t wanna miss that one.) is downtown this weekend. Whatever you do, (unless you are in jail) don’t call me until after five o’clock on Friday!

Saturday: may 28, 2005 if you couldn’t figure that one out: I like to sleep late on Saturdays and my wife likes to sleep even later. I will be at the hill sometime around noonish. So anyone coming in early Saturday go visit the arch the bowling hall of fame or the dog museum. Or if you are looking to avoid some cops I hear wet Willys is a bust. Only the hardcore need apply. See the rest of you sometime around noonish. We will be doing the outlaw thing until dark; we get kicked out or decide to start the barbeque. Oh yeah about the bbq how many of you are there and what do you like on the grill? We always try to do a little something special for you all so if there are any reasonable requests let us know.

Outlaw course- looong push start single lane somewhere around 25 cones spaced waaaay out. This course will be doable on a looong board. We plan on having some longboarders her hopefully we will see them on the course as well. SO now let me warn you bring your BIG wheels. Fastest time wins. Jam format one cone DQ.

Sunday may – come on now: course practice starts at 10 so drink up at the barbeque. Racing to follow at 11 am or soon there after. Bracket racing will decide the winners. The course will be dual lane push start 50ish cones. Water provided on the hill with option to order food from local delivery (pizza).

Entry fee $20 dollars for both days. Cash purse+ assorted schwigity schwag

If you’re not having fun call Jonathan Harms 314.497.4366
Or in dire emergency you can call me at 314.568.6711

Oh yeah by the way this is not a PRIME level slalom event. It’s grassroots level event.

Chris, if you mean the Yahoo map on the first page of this thread, then yes, it's right where the star is. Here's an even better map from Google. You may have to zoom in or out a bit or drag the map to center it, but it's even clearer than the Yahoo map, IMO.

http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=Ce ... +Dr,+63116

If you do end up staying at the Water Tower Inn, all you have to do is take Grand Blvd. SOUTH about a mile, turn RIGHT on Arsenal Street, go about a mile, and turn right into the park on Center Cross Drive (there should be a stoplight there). The top of the "hill" is almost immediately on your right. If you're coming in early, you should be able to park right there by the stumpy white "Weeble" barricades. On Saturday and Sunday, you may have to park across the street because the park will be more crowded with Memorial Day people.

In addition to what Goad posted for non-race activities, there's always the St. Louis Zoo (free, and one of the best in the country), or for you "cultured" types (you too, Oles :-)), check out the free performance of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" in Forest Park:

http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/entert ... %22park%22

Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=1+ ... ,+MO+63110

Weather's looking good so far. Keep your fingers crossed...

All of us here in St. Louis want to give everyone big thanks for coming out and being a part of Slalom St. Louis 2005! We had a great outlaw race on Saturday. Everyone had a blast on the wide-open course. Great big thanks to all the locals and legends that were out for the BBQ and party that followed Saturdays race. An epic time was had by all. The after after party- well…no words can describe waltzing in the window and the rug burn on the knees. Is it last call?

Sunday-Race day 2 most racers on the hill at 10 and some by 11:30 “I don’t need no practice run.”
Holding off the rain we did one round of qualifying to determine the pro group pulling the top 4 to race. Onward to the second round to bracket the remaining 15 racers for the B group.
We couldn’t have had a better day the weather cooperated and the company was fantastic.
After the racing was through the course was set to a single lane straight that many stayed to ride upon.
Following the day on the hill we all hit the local Mexican joint for some good eats and margarita’s. It was the perfect way to end a perfect weekend.
Thanks again to all of you!

And a big thanks to all the sponsors who were incredibly generous!
Thanks to the DAGGERS and Kill City Racing all of you guys rip!
Thanks to Radikal titanium II pro racing trucks for their continued support at Slalom St. Louis and for awarding their 2nd set of trucks at our races.

Please Support the following sponsors they are what help make this sport grow:
BAHNE
MONKEYWRENCH MACHINEWORKS
POCKET PISTOL SKATES
KHIRO
RADIKAL
OUST
PABST BLUE RIBBON

Big thanks to BAHNE for the complete that was awarded to the youngest racer Nathan Favaro.
Ryan Graf, courtesy of GeezerX, will be sending a set of trucks to MONKEYWRENCH MACHINEWORKS for being dead middle of the pack.
KHIRO came through with a huge package of goodies. Even the new wedge kit that everyone was stoked over.
POCKET PISTOL hooked us up with an E Series deck and lots of swag.
Harms ate up the OUST goodies; He’d been looking forward to that!

Looking forward to 2006.

Man, Frank, I think I remember saying I did NOT want to see that picture on the internet! Oh, well, I guess it was bound to happen.

Huge thanks to gOAd, JBH, all the Daggers, Mary and Ellen, coneheads, and everybody who raced or even just spectated for a killer weekend!

Jonathan, thanks again for your overwhelming hospitality! You were looking super fast both days. So close!

Keith, congrats on your pair of wins, and a big thank you to you and Mark McCree for my new "blue front" and "polished rear". Please please nobody take that out of context! I'm talking about RADIKAL TRUCKS here people!

What a great weekend! When are we going to do it again? How 'bout less than 2 weeks from now at the COLORADO CUP! I've got couch space...

I want to thank Jeff Goad and Mary Hessler for all they did this past weekend. Bobby and I had a balst. Mary the B-B-Q was great. Thank you to Ellen, Garrett and his daughters for all your help. Harms thanks for all your did to make St. Louis race such a success.

I want to congratulate Eric Moore on winning the new set of Radikal trucks. Eric please e-mail me your phone #, I have a question.

I finally got my Radikal cell phone(352-494-2503). If anyone has any questions feel free to call me.

Keith, Teams Radikal & Pocket Pistols.

I'm pretty sure Goad has them somewhere. Dan Gesmer was kind enough to make us a custom spreadsheet, but the computer meltdown and the decision to run a "mini A group" kind of complicated the process of posting the results, as the spreadsheet was originally made for one big group (i.e. no A, B or C class distinctions). I will ask Goad about it.
