Another item I like about you is that you arn't Marcos Soulstifling Monroe. Man that guy wins one race and there is no living with him. Tell him I'll see him in Athens, damn sandbagger.

Iaccovelli, you prevaricating, merde-mouthed weasel!
I'm admittedly one of the slowest of the slow.
Nonetheless, I've kicked your 5 year younger, Atkins diet sculpted ass *all-up-and-down* every hill upon which our paths happened to converge.
And speaking of converging paths, I'll stay in my lane at *every* race this year, and I'll continue to lay one humiliating drubbing on you after another.
And as for Eddy so called "Texas Outlaw", you and your band of "Vatos" can all race one another solely for the purposes of selecting from your midst the nearest thing to an opponent for Iaccovelli.
Who, as I've stated clearly above, I'll mop up with directly.
Whoowee! I can't wait for the keyboard racing season to commence!

Geezer vs. Wheezer
That is a cool video.
Now, could you post a clip at regular speed? That slow motion replay doesn't really exude the true enthusiasm of downhill slalom racing.

Missing from the Contest Schedule is a big ass race in DC
I think it’s about time for the DC crew (mainly the ones w/o too many responsibilities) to host a big ass slalom race other than the gaythering. I nominate Wes E to organize such a race and I would be more than happy to help...hell I may even tote Troy's ramps down there. Nows the time to get your shit together and apply for the permits etc.... I miss racing in DC and to this day, GBJ's Summer Finale is still one of my all time favorite races.

#1 : I hate you Geezer X. Always have. Make it to Athens. I may have a race in which I can beat you.
{B}: Pretty sure I can beat you and anyone else on Team Girlie Stance Wesley. No more complaining about gout, the vapors and your lumbago. I'll see you in Athens too.
iii: A Wes E race? I'll be needing my T-Shirt in a 50% worsted wool 50% polypropelene blend, a course we can run in any direction, and of course.....
wait for it...
a ride.
Mad Love to you Wes,
Joe

I think that Brian Parsons among other DC types is keen to work out a proper DC region race of sufficient grandeur to attract the wrong coasters.
Details will follow.
And Iaccovelli, you nefarious turd-burglar, my loathing for you far exceeds any level of loathing you could ever muster for me. Beat you again!
Wesley? Puh-leeze? slow motion? at least it could be clearly discerned that we were going *down* the hill, which is more than I or anyone can say when watching your unique ...uhhh... "style"
Bobby Piercy spins in his grave like a lathe every time you rocket out of the gate....
Bill "houdini" Tway? you're only staying exempt from my ever burgeoning fusillade of vitriol on account of how much I love that little race you and that H-mo "TK" hold for my birthday every year...

...damn, can't say I blame you.
At one point, I was e-mailing back and forth to Groff, it was full on ultra-violence. He lied about some stuff but other things, he got straight to the point. I tried so hard to get him back here, best I could do was get him to sponsor the place for a month.
That was a classic, an honor to have some words with him and well, I even got to skate with him at one point, one of those Skatelab skate jam things. I got to meet so many cool people, Peralta, Jeff Ho, Alva, so many skateboarders, Jack Smith et al.
I'll tell you this: What he told me about Jani was true and I have no regrets for anything I've done here except for banning Arab. I had a reason, but I fecking forgot I was a skateboarder at the time.
I'm not forgetting any more.
Unreal.
Sad to see you go so I will go with you.
Last post: I dedicate this one to you Jeff.

Cool, Eric Groff tells Adam a lot of truths about me. I only ever met Eric once and I think we exchanged a total of two phrases together. Must have been a very interesting discussion between Eric and Adam.adam trahan wrote:I'll tell you this: What he told me about Jani was true and I have no regrets for anything I've done here except for banning Arab. Fluitt's a poof
Fluitt,
You were fast at the farm last year, but pussied out on the party. I don't think you should be permitted to be the overall champ and leave before sunrise.
And don't use your family as an excuse. They looked like they wanted to stay.

It's a trick I learned from the Islamic Jihad. Use women and children as a shield for you defense.
I intend to add crockery to my burgeoning trophy collection, which by the way, includes one very large, very empty Omegang bottle. I will miss the bomb squad and their sassy lead singer, but TK is quite sexy as well. If Wallgren wears the baby blue warm ups, I will race him in a sun dress.

Unless I get a raise at work, I'll probably only make it to the "driveable" races: Luna, Red Clay, Chicago (?), and West Virginia--and St. Louis, if we get the go-ahead.
With a bit of luck I might be able to pull a "Gilmour" and show up at the last minute somewhere. (Or is that a "WesE"?) Then again, I've done that myself once or twice, so maybe I'd just be doing a "Harms."

St. Louis to Breck in 20 hours

Obviously you've never seen my car.Umm, I think you missed Breck on your dance card. Totally driveable from Missory.
Seriously, though, I thought you were having doubts about whether to have a Breck race this year? Or was I just remembering your early reaction to griping about last year's race? If you do put on a race this year, I'll sure try to make it.
And you're right, it is driveable--although I still don't know if I've recovered from last year's trip home. In no particular order, it involved: a still-broken finger, a swollen elbow from slamming at Silverthorne skatepark, a 10-mile-long motorcycle wheelie on I-70 at 70+ miles per hour (we couldn't pass because the dude was being videotaped by a vehicle in the other lane), and Mary Hessler hydroplaning us through a middle-of-the-night, four-hour monsoon that lasted from Salina, Kansas to Columbia, Missouri. Plus there was some funky Swiss teenager hanging out in the back of the van...

JBH- You're mostly correct, I am mearly a worker bee on the U.S. Nationals organizing comittee. Jim Weatherwax and David Eye are large and in charge this time around. But it is happening the same weekend as last year, Aug. 20-21 in Breckenridge, with Joe Lehm and McKendry doing the downhill on Vail pass once again on the Friday preceeding. It will all be up on the contest calendar in a few days.
Did I have something to do with the broken finger. I seem to remember an incident with the shuttle van on Vail pass. Hope it isn't effecting your keyboarding.
Got good news for you on points gathering and tracking. will emial you bout that.

Iaccovelli looks remarkably bad in a wifebeater for someone who's actually a wifebeater.
And Fluitt? Sundress? first you erode my miserable tiny corner of the slalom skateboard truck niche market, THEN call me out on account of how my sartorial splendor makes you uncomfortable?
Jeez.
Don't you know I was just sandbagging 'til the very end? I totally rock. I'm like SOOOO fast when I want to be. Don't start this if you can't finish it...
Seriously. The farm is like my favorite 48 hours (72 if you count the hangover) of the year, and it's an honor to ride the same hill as all you guys. Can't wait 'til August.

A sport MORE GAY than slalom skateboarding on any planet!!!
I was channel surfing yesterday and found tape-delay coverage on ESPN of "Mens Dual Luge" competition. This is probably the MOST GAY THING I have ever seen on sports TV! I kept waiting to hear whether or not it was the "Ramses Invitational."
Geez, if this kind of made-up nonsense can get air time on a national network, then ANYTHING is fair game!

I think you guys need to wear crazy loud leathers. That might get you some coverage. People are fooled into thinking "that's heavy" when they see the leathers.
But luge can be dangerous when taken to a certain level.
What should really bum you out is the over-saturated coverage of poker.
Now, I love cards and will take any of your money, but I can't imagine watching somebody else play on TV. That would be like watching someone play golf.....
Hope to see you in DC next week WT

Well, that is good news Wesley. It means that we will have lots of air time for slalom anytime soon. It is just a question of selling in your thing. And if you manage to sell it in the big sponsors will start getting interested too. But it's a barrier to get it all going. Without any big sponsor, no serious event, no tv coverage, no interest, let's go bowling. If we could get a big main sponsor to see us as an opportunity and lay up cash for a World Tour of slalom skateboarding we would be going. Suddenly it's serious, tv coverage coming in, interest growing, sponsors happy, more people will get to know the world of true skateboard racing, let's go skating. No, not that board, the slalom board.

The more things change . . .
There was a raging flame war going on the SKATENC. com website the past week or so (SKATEN-orth C-arolina.) NCL posted a message about the latest DHB video and the kickflippers went berzerk. Seems longboarding and slalom have no place on a "real" skateboard website.
Anyway, after these nimrods was shouted down by just about everybody in the Tar Heel state because skating is skating no matter what, Lenny posted a question, "So... uh (changing the subject from race relations in the U.S.) you guys like slalom skating?"
To which one of the locals replied with the following: "never really tried it but it looks like it would be easy because there aren't any real tricks but hard because of how small the board is"
It's funny reading. If anyone's interested, the whole thread is here:

Kids. Whadda 'ya gonna do wid' 'em?

A CALL TO ARMS!!!
I'm up early this mornng for a number of reasons, not the least of which is getting some things done so I can head out to North Carolina for our session tomorrow at Hobby Park.
I got a "topic reply notification" in the mail during the night from another php bulletin board, http://www.SKATENC.com. Marion and I have been touting our event on this North Carolina skate website and I posted last night it looks like skaters from seven states are showing up.
http://skatenc.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php ... 98863bf020
So, here's what got posted in response:
Sure, they'll snip back with some tawdry bit of obscenity and probably misspell a few words, but let's not be shrinking violets. Nothing says that only kickflippers can be obnoxious. Let's all take a stab at it! Just like SS.com, you have to register to post, but unlike Jani's demanding criteria, you can post anonymously or straight up. It's up to you.
This is the "dark side" where the trash talk goes on. Why not spread the love?

So, anyway, I let it slide. Who am I to argue such a munificent talent as "Mizzark" about what is and isn't skateboarding? What would be cool is if 40 or 50 souls from this website went over there and let Junior know what "real" skateboarding is. C'mon, how about a little flame war with the kids down home? Let 'em know how you really feel. Blow their minds with some posts from all over the USA, a few from Canada and a European blitz of opinion.Mizzark wrote:alright time's up get the f#@k out of here, this really isn't skateboarding and no one on here can relate to your slalom shit
