Leathers
Hans
"Fieldsheer" is a motorcycle garment company that sells all sorts of styles in jackets w/ body armour. Mine has hard cup shoulder pads, forearm pads and a soft back plate all field tested by me personally whilst I packed my GSX-R Suzuki 1100 under a line truck a few years back. And the jackets are relatively thrifty as leathers go. Not so the bike however... nor Lauren's jacket I suspect.

Lauren's jacket
Actually, Lauren's jacket is a "Joe Rocket", which we found at a local motorcycle shop. It's very light, with a combination of leather and nylon mesh, plus pretty good armor.
