Great to read that you are coming to Amsterdam this year, we are working on our website right now. Please give me a little bit more time then you will be able to register on line. It is also possible to register upon arrival in Amsterdam. So the website will be on the air soon.
Thank you and see you here.

Flavio, Wouter, Cyril ... I will be back for the race this year!!
I've spent 5 fantastic years in the Netherlands ... believe me, there is nothing like Holland and the Dutch on Earth ... lay-back / unorganized / lazy / stingy / crazy / windy / Nordic / Calvinistic / capitalistic etc ... and most of all … just give them a beer and they are happy!!!!
so ... either you like it ... or STAY HOME!!!!

Do you mean the bowl at the Marnixstraat? Then we can certainly arrange something for Saturday eve. We have a meeting tomorrow morning and I will bring that up.
I will post more information tomorrow.
See you soon!

My Registration
I arrived now from vacation and I wanted to register for the race into the pro class. I was not able to. The web did not work. Probably the server was down. What should I do? Am I still on time?
In the case, on monday from office I will book the flight.
Thanks,
Stefano

OK, we are ready to go here in Amsterdam,
First of all I was glad to know that Dominik Kowalski will be present. He is and will always be very welcome to our contest.
PRO's
We have a minimum prize purse of 1,000.00 euros for the PRO's and 40 euros per PRO rider on top of that.
We will brake down the money among the first three places of each modality.
Besides that the first three also get a Delft tile as trophies. you can use them to decorate your backyard pool or hang them on the wall.
AMS:
Goodies provided by our sponsors and tiles as trophies
Food:
Three days: I changed one of the days to pizza to avoid tree days of Mex Tex.
Public:
In order to get more public to attend we will share the venue on Saturday with one of the most important bicycle races in Holland.
We have hired special light poles that will allow us to race until later on the day, so the idea is to try to end the contest on Sunday 16 hrs, allowing some riders to make it on time to their flights back home.
Schedule:
Friday September 4th starting at 10 AM:
TS AM QUAL
TS PRO QUAL
TS PRO Finals
TS AM Finals
Sp AM QUAL
Sp PRO QUAL
Saturday September 5th starting at 10 AM:
Sp PRO Finals
Sp AM Finals
From 1PM until 4PM
Bicycle race on the venue, we stop for the bicycles and go eat, and skate on the half-pipe we have on the premises. Of course you can watch the race as well.
HS AM QUAL
HS PRO QUAL
Sunday September 6th starting at 10 AM:
On this day we also have some time slack if we have any delays on the previous days.
HS PRO Finals
HS AM Finals
Important information concerning the camping site:
Using of the camping site is totally FREE of costs, just bring you tent.
PLEASE use the trash bags we will provide, DO NOT light a fire at any time while on the camping site.
Showers are available, toilets as well.
The weather report is good, Sunday being the hottest day but the previous days will be dry. I will keep everybody informed.
Have a good week and see you here in Amsterdam.

In the case of rain we will go to the Amsterdam Skatepark and race in there. It is flat but it will give us a chance to go ahead with the race.
There is also a remote possibility that we will use a "under construction" tunnel in Utrecht, but the we still have not had a go ahead from the government. We will have a definitive answer this afternoon.

Normally I have a place to sleep for Thursday and Friday but got to find something for Saturday and Sunday.
Is there some skaters who'd like to book a room in an hostel or an hotel, or who ever booked and that I could join at the same place?

Little bad news
Dear all,
due to an emergency, the schedule of my wife (who is medical doctor) at the hospital was changed half an our ago. With the new one, she will have to work on saturday and sunday, therefore I will have to take care of my child (who is almost three years old). Even if I already payed the ticket (I will loose all the amount of money, BTW), despite from the fact that I would love to race, I'm obliged to stay at home by the situation. I apologize for this with the organizers and with all the athletes and friends who will be present. I wish to you all a wonderful race WE.
Stefano
PS: Flavio thank for your prompt replies

Petr Novotny, Jiri Wiche and Eva Wicheova our friends from the Check Republic are comfortably installed at the Sport Park, there is even a beautiful full moon shining now. Oh yeah and their little 8 month old baby Daniel is here as well. What a great start.
The lights have been installed.
Tomorrow we are setting up the riders rest area early in the morning and finishing up the setup.
We will start around 10 AM.
Ernst build these start ramps with little steps that allow you to climb up the ramps without using your hands and we painted one bright orange and the other bright green. Oh yeah they glow in the dark too.
Good night.

2nd Christopher Baumann (D)
3rd Ernst van der Boom (NL)
4th Vincent Berruchon (F)
full results will be posted tomorrow.
The weather was good and allowed us to race to whole afternoon.
Tomorrow we will go ahead with the special. The course is great.
Also the HS course has already been marked.

We finished the special slalom today and what a great race. We started after the bicicles and rain at 4:45 PM and went through the evening with great skateboarding.
Dominik took first place followed by Christophe and Vincent, then the first AM was Chris from Berlin followed by Petr from CZ and Ernst NL
Under a bright full moon we gave the prizes for the TS and the Sp. We gave money to the first 3 PRO and goodies to the first 3 AMS. That made Erst the number one AM rider in TS
Tomorrow we go ahead with HS in what is expect to be a sunny day.
We have all had a great time so far.
More tomorrow...
@Jani yes I also think Ernst is a great promise for Dutch skateboarding but he is not the only one Rob G raced for the first time and cause a very good impression as well.

On behalf of the kids I brought along I want to thank everbody who was involved in organizing this contest. Thanks to the riders who had the patience to wait for all the cones to be put in place again and thanks to the sponsors for providing the nice goodiebags.
Because of school, my son, daughter and daughters friend, could only join the competition on Saturday and Sunday. Although the course was too difficult for them, they enjoyed their first international competition.
As a father it was a joy to see their anxiousness to perform well.
Saturday night will be a night to remember for them. Slalom skateboarding in the dark with the floodlights on the course was something special and will be talked about for a long time.
The Sunday race, with the special course for the kids and the girls, will be remembered.
Funny thing is that the kids complained about the difficulty of the special and the hybrid course, but they complained about the special course aswell. This was much too easy. So you see they are like real skaters already...
I promised to bring them to more races, so this means I have to train myself to stay ahead. But I doubt if this will help. They are advancing more and getting better each time.
