biggest outlaw race ever!
Great racers! Great weather! Great race day!
45 racers from 8 nations!
This might have been the biggest outlaw-race ever and You all where part of it.
Thank you to every racer from everywhere for showing up, dropping down the ramp and racing with the GoG!
Thank you to Donald for making it all happen!
Thank you to CARHARTT, PAVEL and the Concrete Wave Skateshop for schwag!
(Where were the local brands like Kaliber or Wefunk?)
Thank you to Joe Iacovelli for his special donation!
Thank you to Frank, Christoph, Heiko, Donald, Dominik and Andy for helping with the construction of the ramp!
For the next race it will have an extension to make it 3 meters high.
Thank you to Frank for setting such a nice course!
Thank you to Carsten for the good weather forecast and bringing trash bags!
Thank you to all the paparazzi bringing their cameras! Where is your output?
Btw:
Carsten, is there any other division where one can truly dominate? Ha,ha!

All,
Thank you for a fantastic time. It was my pleasure to meet you all and skate with you. It seems there is a very cool scene going on in Germany with good friends that come and support each other.
I am afraid to start saying particular names for fear that I will leave someone out, but must make special thanks to Donald and his family for their hospitality. My biggest reason to go to this race was to meet the mad man behind the things I read on the internet. It was not a disapointment. Donald is the real thing, says what he means, and backs his mouth up with a big heart and a hard head.
He's not my BRO, but he is my friend.
Danke,
Joe

What was it like? Here's some snaps:

Pin-up boy for hungry office girls
Airport called Team UK to get on the plane or they'd throw our 'friggin' luggage' out of the hold.
Heiko's shop in Koln is a dangerous skate porn environment www.concretewave.de. More than you need, all that you want. With a great pizza bar just up the street.
Factory bowl was a first time for me. Thanks for the education, Joe and Don. What a facility to have on your doorstep. And what a demonstation of versatile skating from the young Peek team and craggy slalomers alike.
DDorf's Night of Museums offered up a picture show in a public toilet (no ales? - no thanks) and a beer attic where a band play the EP version of Bela Lugosi's Dead to projections of Nosferatu.
Joe Iaco does the Elk Test on the autobahn to avoid damaging Pavel soft goods as the ramp frames lever Donald's truck across two lanes.
Ramps 2'10" high leading to a smooth downhill GS with the occasional approaching vehicle to test your nerve.
Overall, excellent organisation by Donald and the Pavel crew. Ramp built in a trice, timer never failed and a great friendly, yet competitive, vibe throughout. Katrin in one piece and skating hard whilst sorting out the race times also. Racers chipped-in with a bit of cone-marshalling. Goes to show what can happen when a slalom communities pull together under crazy, visionary guidance.
A full supply of French and German squads battling away, with places being picked off by USA, Switzerland, UK and Holland. It's taken a while, but the Dutch boys are now 'GO.' Spain next???
Thanks to Donald, the GOG clan, to race sponsors Carhartt and a special big thankyou for the Geezer X Bennett truck award. Its provenance makes it very special. As the Donmeister might say, 'PERFEKT.'
Roll on Paris!
Sam
P.S. Crikey, Carsten; where'd you get that speed?
And where did that ice-cream van come from?

What a ramp, here goes Vince!
Great weather for the contest (even though I had a rotten cold), thanks to the whole Pavel crew and Donald Cambell for a fun event. Carharrt provided a mountain of prizes for everybody.
Here are my photos, http://www.flickr.com/photos/39089904@N ... 115591203/
This is best watched as a slideshow at 1 second, move the cursor to the top right of photo to see option.
See you at the races!

yo Sam, for the speed .....it's not about the "arrow" , it's about the "indian" !
I think its a combination of everything.... good race board (thanks to Frank!), good race trucks (thanks to Frank!), challenging trainings with good and fast buddies (again Frank and others!),
and Kölsch Beer (thanks to me !), and finally an explosive bodybuilded body with lots of muscles,...... like I have
Yo see......just move to Cologne, and you will be in our "Area 51- nuclear - secret - self motivating- super -duper -slalom - training - program".
But once you decide to be part of it, forget about your family, your name, your whole entire live....otherwise we would have to kill you ! Or you have to see the flashy thing which the Man In Black use !

Thank you, Donald for building me a new board in the last minute before the race.
Wearing shades is indispensable while riding this board on a sunny day because you get continously flashes in the face.
In the race it makes you feel like a superstar who gets photographed with every move...haha!
Wolli and his girlfriend wisely protecting their eyes before inspecting the board.

Hey Bart! Remember, you were one of those who brought good vibes to this place, at least you kept me in high spirits
Thanks everybody again for being there. It always takes so long when you are waiting for the day X, but than again it is all over very soon.
But than again, you can't stop thinking about for at least a week....well I think I'll won't ever forget this weekend and that beautiful sunny Sunday....
with skating and hanging out with friends! Isn't that what we are into???
here are some super duper piggy pics from my friend "Wolli", posted in another froum:
