Seems it comes from Germany, but you got more hints about who is behind?

I like that the WCR factors in strength of field, but...
The WCR is partial towards Euros...
It is missing a major North American race...
It does not even seem to follow it's own criteria...
Criteria from the WCR website:
Major in Europe, 12 European and 6 American Top 16 racers
Major in America, 12 American and 4 European Top 16 Racers
Main in Europe, 12 European/American Top 16 racers
Main in America, 12 American/European Top 16 racers
Prime in Europe, 6 European/American Top 16 racers
Prime in America, 6 American/European Top 16 racers
When was the last time that 4 top-16 Euros came to the USA???
Sadly, more top North Americans travel to Europe than the other way.
Only Brixlegg counted as a Major last year.
If you didn't attend that one race you don't get big points.
The biggest race in USA according to the WCR was Buckeye (16 Pros) in Ohio.
The ISSA Major (US Nationals) only counts as a WCR Prime for 2006 even though there were 16 pros in attendance. That is a joke!
Hood River (11 Pros) does not even show up in the WCR rankings.
Dixie Cup (13 Pros), US Nationals (16 Pros), and Encinitas (15 Pros) only count as Prime even though criteria say 12 Top-16 make it a Main.
Maybe I am missing something...
Maybe I am just another dumb American...

It's a different system. On one I am 5th(season) or 7th (strange kind of 4-year whatever ranking), on the other I am 3rd. I agree on the second. - haha!Guillaume Saint-Criq wrote:Did the slalom scene grow big enough that we need two dual ranking system (slalomranking & worldcupranking)?
I don't understand.
A worldranking shall be from "today" one year back and continuously updated. That's the only way that makes sense!
Other perspectives?

I agree with you Ramon.
Moreover there should be a prize money (or a a cup if you do not like to make it money-related) at the end of the season, for the three top riders. This would give a boost to all the partecipants.
Anyway, I would like to suggest for each rider to show his/her best end of the year (with frozen ranking) career position.
This is missing I guess.
CU soon,
Stefano
