Pay up your $50 suckers! Tway and Joe need the registration money by sunday or the show is a no go.

This is the longest running annual slalom race in the history of skateboarding. Please, don't let it skip a year...

Is anyone headed my way that could give me a ride? I live in Burlington, Vermont, but I could meet you somewhere else if need be. I'd like to car pool down, split gas, and such. Does registration end Sunday?

Will - I'll get you down there, but I'm heading to the Vineyard for a week right after the event and the truck will be stuffed full of toys, camping equipment and food. There won't be much room if you have more than a couple boards and a backpack.

I'll be leaving at about 3-4 pm Friday afternoon right from Dealer.com.

All that stuff about "toys and camping equipment" is his portable, inflatable orgy. Dude, you can blow them up when you get there, and let the air out before you go!

And campers, don't pitch your tent next to his...

I'll be going down and back too, no idea about times yet, but hit me up if you need a ride to or from, leaving from and returning to Antrim - is RT 91 the way to go?

How much beer will $50 get me? ;) I just ordered new trucks from sk8kings! but my homebrewed board won't be done by then, maybe for antrim. super excited for this race! Thanks for the heads up on the DH board, I'm going to Maryhill this Sept. so this will be a good warm-up. I'll try to get some kid friendly gear from Ridin' High, kids like protective equipment right?

I can't believe that I'm the first to post pictures. You guys hung over, or what? A couple of Hookers and you guys are done for the night!

I was a little busy during the money races, but have pictures before and after.

All the pictures on this Facebook album:

The coolest part of any Farm is the Kids race. BIG props to Joe & Tway for planting seeds. Who knows we may be looking at photos of the next Reaves.

Second at pics, I'll take it - beats the heck out of my ranking in the race! I did get a lot of the bigboy/biggirl action 'caus I was all done by then.

I had a great time beginning to end, thanks Joe and Tway (and many others) for putting this on. And to Brian and Richard who drove all the way to work the course!

Preliminary reports say that it's going to be the last one. Yeah I know they said that 2 years ago, but Tway had a great observation - why end it at 8 years? So this will be the 10th year and a fitting milestone.

As far as I know it will be August 6, 7, & 8th. It will include GS, Hybrid, Vintage, Kids Race, and I believe that Team Fatboy will be defending their title of Absolute World Rulers of Catamaran. There's also been mumblings of some kind of skatepark activity, possibly a skatercross kinda thing at Stamford, but this is unconfirmed.

Perhaps Joe or Tway will chime in with more realistic details.

Oh, and Wentzle is trying to use some lame excuse about having to work that weekend, so I think we should make a concerted effort to convince him that this is a mistake and he should be at the Final Farm. Please pass along your thoughts to WRIV at your earliest convenience.

I'll contact Gary this week regarding insurance and as soon at we get that together, I can apply for a permit.

Worse case scenario... it'll be a two day event...Skalzi park jam session on Fri. and a slalom race @ Bethel on Sat. Also the dates may be pushed a little deeper in Aug. but our goal is still the 6th and 7th of August.

I see there is some interest from folks that have never attended the farm. It's very import y'all understand the farm is mostly about the party....skating is a sideshow. So if your planning on a hardcore race with all the bells and whistles, you wont find it at the farm. I hate to see anyone come along way and leave disappointed.

More details as soon as I can.

Thanks for your interest.

Farm on,

Tway

Can't wait for farm 10! But please try not to change the august 6th and 7th date, i planned way ahead for this one, between the birth of our fouth kid (july 17!) and our summer vacation on August 15.

I'm with Pierre on keeping the dates. I had to hire a drummer for the afterparty ;)

I hired hookers and I'm sure the pimp will break my legs if I back out of it...so to speak.

On a more serious note - I contacted Tway and told him I would do ANYTHING within my power, including driving down the weekend before to help get it set up, to make Farm-X happen as planned. I urge anyone who can pitch in in any way to do the same. We CAN take up the slack...we ALL owe it to Joe for doing all he has for the last nine years. I know some of us just can't do it...but if you can, then DO!! Let's light this candle people!!

I'm on the same boat here. I had to do some hard negotiations to get the days off to be there. Someone is even interupting their vacation to come in and cover for me. Please try to keep the same dates!

I second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc. the motion not to change the dates at this point. :)

We're mainly coming for the party -- on the way home from the serious racing in CZ -- so won't be disappointed unless the party (race) is not happening that weekend. Our air puzzle is booked -- just need the east coast details to fill in the blanks now.

Thanks guys and hope to hear more firm news real soon.

Cheers!

Hi guys on the east coast, here's my 2 cents. I also booked a flight to come, and the whole thing made the air puzzle verry $$. If you are afraid of not getting a permit, take this and all the other posts to the city council, or even better the chamber of commerce. They want people coming to their town to spend money.
Btw tway, get back to me via facebook. I left you a message.

The Town of Bethel postponed the meeting, next meeting is 7/15. We are not 100% green lighted until 7/15.

Friday 8/6- Park Jam, best trick, park slalom - Scalzi Park Stamford

Saturday 8/7 - Bethel, CT GS, Dual, Vintage, DH, catamaran, and kids race

Saturday Night - traditional blowout in Tway's backyard

We will be putting up the contest calendar shortly.
