Farm TV coming to a DVD player near you.
I just finished burning the first couple of DVD's containing pretty much everything I filmed/edited this year. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I just rendered one in 16:9 (Widescreen) and it looks bitchin'. I'm gonna send a couple test copies to Noah and Joe to make sure they operate smoothly. If all goes well, they'll be available (probably just after X-Mas but hopefully before) in both 4:3 and 16:9 formats. I'll keep anybody interested posted.
To watch this in 10 years or so...will be pretty cool.

Feliz Navidad
Runtime: 1 hour+
Cost: No Time to Hate Productions is a non-profit organization. However, small donations (to cover the blank DVD and shipping) will gladly be accepted.

I'd like to throw an additional bouquet at Tway's feet. As much as we all love to see ourselves and have a documentation of our races, Tway's videos surved an additional, crucial purpose this year. Recruitment.
Tway's videos are fun. They show the span of talent from brand newbies to champions. They include humor, goofy distractions that help keep the skating punctuated. These on-line videos got sent from one skater to another, posted on websites, and were invaluable in turning out the crowds.
So thank you Tway. I know it takes time and effort. We all appreciate it, maybe on more levels than you know.
Joe
PS - Maybe next years videos can have less of the "Roger Korman, bad acid trip" feel to them. I'm afraid of the individuals that those wavy lines speak to and what it will be like to try an organize a race where people are seeing monster cones that arn't there.

Tway: I am interested in getting copies of both formats, AND I will make sure my donation MORE than covers your costs.

Joe: It already happened. You saw my second run, first day, at the Dam...
I criddled the SECOND cone dude, not the FIRST!

i havent (yet) what i was thinking on doing (and heres goes any surprises for next season) its to attach it underneath the deck looking to any of the trucks or maybe do a small extension out of the rear of the deck about knee high pointing forward. I think the motion of the slalom will be captured at its best.
in the other hand, i dont think it has a great resolution (640x320) but its not that expensive for trying out.

I thought about doing something like that on my Flushcut, but on the top of the board to capture the speed.i havent (yet) what i was thinking on doing (and heres goes any surprises for next season) its to attach it underneath the deck looking to any of the trucks or maybe do a small extension out of the rear of the deck about knee high pointing forward. Theres plenty of room to put a small camera on that thing.
But anyway, your idea sounds very awesome, and i really hope it works out!
That would make for a sweet video, especially if you were to get a few different people to ride the "camera-board" to capture the different styles and all that good stuff!

That's Rich with a view of his front and rear truck. Done by Boris Firquet. Long time friend and local longboarder.
