Just about the most fun I've ever had on a skateboard. It was madness from start to finish. No one really ever said "go" it was just a mad rush up 116th St. to Broadway as 82 Longboarders just took over the entire street. As the race progressed, the field spread out pretty quick. Remarkably, at about the 4 mile mark, as I was suffering from massive cotton mouth and was about to hurl, another unknown skater passed me a water bottle and saved my life. I was good to go to the end which came up surprisingly quick. I just missed breaking 39 min. It was a true marathon on a skateboard. An extremely unique event that should never be organized.
