Some of the best surf style cross stepping longboarding I have ever seen:
Check out the "Get Loose" video that is set in Washington DC http://www.loadedboards.com/shops/Video ... tloose.mov
Also spend some time viewing some humorous how to longboard video's on the Media section of http://www.whoisadamcolton.com/
Adam seems to be sponsored by Loaded but he also has a longboard deck over at Longboard Larry's that was inspired by Adam Colton's style http://www.longboardlarry.net/boards/ad ... ancer.html
By the way, here is another cool one to watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKJdms44 ... ed&search=

Who is this cat?
Hey Dave,
Adam lives in Springfield, VA. Not many have heard of him before last summer because he was away at college to become a film maker, but now that he has graduated he is hitting the world with a storm of longboard styling. He is also pretty fast on downhill. He skated across the US last year to raise money for the East Coast Round Wall deal and Green Skate Lab. He is one of the most sincere, nice and funniest guys you have ever met. He often holds longboarding clinics and want to spread the longboarding fever to all ages. He has a real talent on the boards, behind a camera and in the edit room. His "JOB" if you call it that....is freelance, making promotional videos for companies like Loaded and Longboard Larry.
He also made one for me. http://www.jetluge.net/video.html/videojetluge.mov
Make sure you invite him to the events...He is a hoot to have around and really charms the ladies 8 to 85. He does not have much time to lurk on the message boards to find out what is going on.

He was also in USA Today a few weeks ago.http://www.usatoday.com/sports/2006-06- ... ding_x.htm
I've been practicing with a trainer kite for kiteboarding at Hains Point.
It would make for a perfect flatland longboard race on the weekends similar to the Central Park race.

I skated with him once in NC, the dude's unbelievable fluid when it comes to cross-stepping, etc.
