Rode a GOG and couldn't believe how much better it felt to my Radikals and set about changing things......extra wedging lathed stims and still not as turny as the GOG . I thought I was just getting used to these trucks and being more comfortable with running softer and softer bushings............THE...

Technically , the brightest colour to the human eye is a yellow/green (550nano meters i think??) Its half way between red and violet. BMW and Alfa with there spider back in the 1970's used that colour not just for the groove factor. Here in Aus our road markings used to be that colour for the same h...

So in reality there are only 2 trucks of pro status for the front, Racetrack - X and GOG? Without modification of course. I am leaving out Seismic, it takes a core Seismic enthusiast to ride these.
Sounds like you have the sketch pad out Greg?
Do you have access to a lathe?
Toby if you read my post I said we also still make them. I have no idea if they are metric though as I haven't been near a Holden with a spanner since about 1978. I think it is Toyota who are number 1 in Australia. I know they have 19mm wheel nuts as they fit on my Alfa I still think it's funny tha...
No mate , do you?? I'm looking for 1 RTX 129mm. I thought there may be a few sets of Radikals going up for sale , and there are but at almost full price. I think the Fyre trucks will be the go or Geezers Sputnik if he ever builds it. I was looking at my Airflow and thinking if only somewon would mak...
Your skate tool will fit both. 1 day when you guys finally go metric you will wonder why it took you soooo long. You are so far behind ,still making gas guzzling push rod engines even! Move into this century. ok ok , thats a bit harsh...sorry My skate tool does not fit both. I know, because I tried...
Here's a random but relevant question. How wide-spread are Trackers, Indies, Radikal, Randall, Bennett (or any number of other) trucks that have SAE specs outside of the U.S.? And do you guys outside the U.S. have the trouble with them that evidently U.S. skaters have with Airflow? By the way, I ca...
I say stick to what's been working for quite a few years now. Ok, if truck companies would send me a metric skatetool with the metric trucks, I'd be happy, but they don't, so I have to get regular tools for them. Now, this is not a problem in metric Sweden, but I bet it's as difficult is the US, as...

I am setting up a Turner cutaway from the late 90's with Tracker fulltracks and nylon base plates. These have very short kingpins and I want to know 2 things , 1 ,what bushing set ups were used by people back then and 2 . can the king pin be replaced in these base plates? Marty , your keeping a "multi hundred dollar truck" in the bottom of a box?? Man.... its a skateboard truck! If you want to use it NOW I gave you a way to do that. Go and buy the most expensive one you can find if it makes you feel any better. Buy a Ti one or a cro mo one.

Marty have a look at the truck page on silverfish. A guy who is also waiting is now running a grade 8 bolt as an axle. Looks like a good idea.

It was made for the "Turner Downhill" that Howard had organised. Is this cor...

Bara has given me some excellent advice but I am after everyones opinion on setting up this 1997 Turner. I want it to be true to its vintage. Trucks , wheels , risers, etc......the best that was available at the time. Any history and ideas very welcome. Thanks Tim http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f...

Don i'm sure its not hard once you have done it a few time but I think most people could not be assed with the process. I understand the cost problems. This site really is good for info but does not get the trafic that a site like the fish gets. I think Silverfish has its place and once you sort thr...

KINGPINS
I always look over the trucks after every run and dismantle and clean every couple of weeks and Wipe them over after every skate. I expect these trucks will need a bit more TLC and they are so nice I don't mind one bit. I also wax my deck with a teflon boat wax but don't tell anybody !
