slalom skateboarding equipment

I agree with Corky in the belief that a 6-wheeler should not be a legal slalom competition skateboard. During this debate, others have argued that any device defined as a skateboard is therefore legal for slalom skateboarding. To me, that is equivalent to saying that since automobile racing is perfo...

I'm sorry, but I don't see how the Farm, a race that has occurred annually for 5 years ends up with a basic status for '06, while the Ohio race ends up as a main, when '06 will be its inaugural event. Well, the power in Stahlstown just came back on today at noon, after being off for 108 hours. Well Marty, I'm definitely thinkin' about it. I WAS planning on going to the MSSS '05, but I think that point is moot. Plasti-Dip bumpers

I'd like to see some evidence that the Plasti-Dip bumper idea has actually saved a foam-cored deck from serious damage. All of the impact force is still transfered to the point of the deck's nose, and I don't think that it is thick or resilient enough to absorb/dissipate a good smack into a curb. Bu...

Tway,
I think the Derby hill gives you more racing options than Shady Lane, if for no other reason than it is much wider. You can leave a lane open for vehicular traffic beside the slalom course. At Shady Lane, a car on the road means moving a lot of cones to allow them to pass.
