Site Sponsor Schedule 2009

Post by Sam Gordon » Sat Nov 29, 2008 11:52 am

Has this been discussed and sorted as yet? Is the site now covered for funds for the forseeable future? If not then count me in for a month sponsorship next year.

Jani and I were discussing that this week. He's decided to head it up as he has done for the past several years.

Anyone wanting to be a monthly sponsor should contact Jani QUICKLY so as to reserve the desired month.

Cost is $25 (twenty five dollars) U.S.

Paypal the full amount to Jani to guarantee your sponsorship. It should be understood that SS.com only has 12 (twelve) sponsors per year.

Thanks for bringing it up.

Sam,

Thanks.

I'll get Jani to post here as soon as I can so he can give the correct paypal address.

I'm not sure if it's directly to Jani or the ISSA e-mail address.

Robert Gaisek already has March. With Pat reserving October, the months remaining are February and December (Jani pasted the schedule into Sam's first post of this thread.)
You can put me up for any month. I gladly trade march for another.

Ed note: Done. Robert, I moved you to February, so that Cat can have March. Thank's! /Jani

Nobody owns the name (I don't know how we could, and if that's really what you meant), but I currently pay for the site registration and the hosting using the monthly payments. Hopefully someone will take over this work in 2009. I'm not on the board, so I guess it would be better with someone who is actually on the board.

i can do that jani
besides my regular business i do NOT have any commercial interest in doing this

so we should talk about migrating this site to our server then.
another burden off your back.
besides that i think its high time that ss.com gets a facelift to make it more attractive for the public.

Thanks Donald. I'll leave such decisions to the board, but actually moving it isn't that important. I think the hosting is about as trouble free as it gets. And the cost that we could save is about 10 USD / month, so maybe it's not worth the effort of moving it. Note that the SlalomRanking site just moved from a private server to this public server. There was a lot of trouble just moving it. But if you want to take over as admin, I'm fine with that. And what I was really looking forward to is someone to take over the handling of the ISSA account and collecting sponsorships and membership fees.

Facelift needed - I 100% agree. I have tried to gather some partners in doing it, but it hasn't been successful. And I just can't set aside the time to do it myself. Previous ISSA board members haven't really been interested either. Let's see what the new BOD can do. I guess Marcus, if elected, would put on a new shell and make sure the site starts moving. I've put my vote on him.

Anyone send me a story and a picture or two and I'll upload it to the frontpage asap.

Don´t hate me.......I´m just a fat bastard who wants to have a life......but if you are serious I will, and then people can bug me instead.
( I´m a bit stupid and will never be able to do the job proper, so this was nothing but a joke )

If you only want me to change site-sponsors, I think I can manage.
