Thanks again to Donald and the GOG crew for sorting out a great weekend of skating. Frank, Dom, Steve and the Gang did us proud. Having organised fun events before, I know how hard it is to get the racing on schedule, including registration, timing and spreadsheet work. Two races in one day? Impressive. And having a contingency location in case of bad weather for day two showed excellent planning. All done on a laid back vibe. Top teamwork gents!

Will have to go back and try the big ramp one day soon. Spent half of Saturday night getting my head around it and was just about ready by Sunday. It's now on the life list of 'things to do.' Thanks to Homer for showing how easy the ramp should be.

Great too to see all of the racers from the French Pirates to the Viking Crew and the Smoking Clog Racers. The middle of the Am field is more competitive than ever with Mick charging, Slipa, Fred, Holger and Pelle bringing up the comp levels(damn them) and Donald belting through the course whilst having a head full of organisation. The Germans are always on fire. As for Latvia? We'll catch that young gun Gustav yet!

And are the time's above really correct? Damn it's close. Just you wait, Pelle. And how fast was Antonio this weekend???

Thanks again,

Sam

P.S. Has anyone seen a maurauding Viking wandering the Industrial Rhinelands of late?

I had a quick look at some of these using ACDSEE (good, easy to use image viewing software) so apparently it's some kind of video format from a digital camera or phone. As I got it up I didn't worry more about it before posting them for Joe.

@Carsten:

It's the SO-NIE - Erik#SOHNs mobile-format.
Please give the free realplayer 10.5/11 a try.
Best, Joe

DO OR DIE

Post by Dominik Kowalski » Thu Apr 17, 2008 1:06 pm

Someone reeeallly likes foo figthers.........hehe...looks great! No pool stuff...hmmm. :( ;)

Oki doki, I would like to thank everybody who made it to our race. Nice to see all old faces and so many newbies!!! They were rippin' hard! I had a wounderfull time with all of you. The berlin crew is always fun to hang out with, so the dutch and of course the french and the swedes anybody else!!! All of you are the fire.
We where kinda worried about the weather conditions, so that is particular also the reason why we decided to have two runs instead of another race, we didn't want to take that chance, but gladly, thank you again, everbody was ok with that, and we could move on to a unforgetable pool session! That was the best! My legs are still sore from that!
The weather on sunday sucked ass...but again, all of you made the best out of it and enjoyed themselfes, freestylin' kickflipin' or jerkin' off.....thank you again everybody.

A special thanks also to the G-O-G crew and especially my little big DON! Thanks for that wounderfull board. Without you, I would have never come so far!!!!!!!!!!
Not to forget Mr.Beste for these amazing trucks....set it up and took it to victory....it's that easy ;)

Ok, so all of you know what the deal is now! We got this beast of a Ramp, that wants to be ridden. For the next episode, we are going for a massive GS....be prepared!

ah, by the way.....I haven't had the time to take many shots during this weekend, as I was busy doing other stuff. But here are some pics you might like to see...enjoy!

that's the dominik kowalski pro model
kicktail model with deep concave and a foot pocket in the rear.
comes in carbon finish with a 22-24" wb and recessed foamcore areas
get in touch with flavio he handles pretty much all of the brazilian stuff
when it comes to gog trucks.

So, still no sign of AMs special race final results. Still missing :

Round of 8
Round of 4
Consolation
Final
and the REAL final standings

Thanks in advance Donald for putting them up and hoping you didn't scratch the file.

Marcio Dominik was the skater I told Bruno to take to Brazil last year. I still think Brazilian slalom skaters need to see LIVE what the NEW generation slalom skaters are doing. Ramon Koningshaus is another good example.

I guess that after watching the video you understand what I mean.
I am trying to take Dom to Brazil for the contest in Interlagos in December 2008.

By the way I think you saw my post with the GOG trucks on the skaters.com.br site like I said the prices you get are exactly the same you would pay here in Europe, for the best slalom trucks on the market right now.

If someone is traveling to Europe and wants to take some trucks back to Brazil with him, please let me know in advance so that I can have the trucks in stock. That will save freight costs.
