Walker Friday night was a bust. Just as I got the cones set up it started to sprinkle which quickly turned into a light rain, I got four or five runs in before the pavement was too wet to skate.

Sometime after supper Sunday evening?

I should have more time to skate soon. A new Trakkmate with a beep-beep-beep-BEEEEEEP is being ordered. I don't like skating without a timer anymore.

Have a nice vacation.

Mike, I sold my wireless timer and am getting a wired one. As soon as they build it.

J-Rad, of course there are no excuses! Do you know how much is it to spread the 2-m TS in Paris a bit? Our guy never won that one, and it's about time.

Mike, this week.

J-Rad, I'm leaving for a travel agency as I type. Find that quote for me, would you...

Jeff, thanks, the beltsander is adjusted. The result is stunning; we will have new bushings soon.

Soon, I will be able to skate w/you all on those fri eve sessions instead of just once in a blue moon. When I start the new job I'll have Fri and Sat off! Just dont schedule any races for Sunday as I will have to work then. Ohm dont forget about Sat Oct 29th:Lansdowne....a diff course will be set, and if we have enough time we could set the old course too for fun.You must wear your costume, though to race...but, not necessarily the same one you wear for the costume contest...2 diff contests...Vlad, you'd win the JG look-a-like contest for sure! I may dress up as lbk chasing his 2 kids.

I see Y’all started to session again, I guess you feel it’s safe knowing I’m not around. Well hell, maybe I’ll just stay here in the Volunteer State. My brother-in-law might be able to give me a job on his logging crew. The hell with Y’all. Maybe the Downhill Billies will take me in. there only four or five hours away from here. :-(

Jeff, come back! We have a timer!

We just ran 40x5.5ft with Ohm and had a couple of beers. I'll post a video for you a little later. There's a race in VT next week, and Ohm says - TS and Hybrid (!)

Slappy, are you protesting in DC, or are still at the wedding?

Hey Slap,
Was it your wedding?
I was down at the Mall & yea there were a bunch of protesters but not as many as several years ago...the media blew it up....I did see US Park Police tackle one dude on a skateboard...there is no Freedom in Freedom Plaza. His ticket was for 'skeeterboarding'...that's what it said on the ticket....I saw him and he wasn't skateboarding...he rolled into the park and immediately started talking to a homeless person. I was on my slalom board. The band Le Tigre rocked the best....they finished at 1am...they sounded like a cross between Kraftwerk and DEVO but w/ Polystyrene vocals.

Curt, the next race is in Statesville, NC. Should be a nice turnout of good racers. Look under the Down South thread for details.

If you want some practice time I am sure we can put together a little session to shake off the cobwebs.

Curt,

This is the race I told you about last summer when we were discussing "software" issues. If you want to travel a little immediately, we are sessioning at Hobby Park in Winston Salem on October 15. Talk to Parsons or John Dillon for a review of this hill. It is, to say the least, incredible. It's probably a five-hour drive for you. This is the Giant Slalom hill we'll be racing on Sunday, November 6.

Oh, and anyone else is certainly invited to ride. No one has yet to call on a full-on Downhillbillie Jam that Saturday, but it looks like a crew is showing up to ride. Some of the North Carolina crowd, a few from Georgia and anyone else within the sound of my voice who can make it.

Vlad, it was a good race, I was a little bummed when Junior got taken out early. NASCAR gave Dale Jarrett the win, there was no need for that last lap caution! The Friday and Saturday night parties were a blast, my face still hurts from laughing so much!

Maybe a Friday night or weekend session?

Since there is no more PVD truck company and odds are slim to none of there ever again being a PVD truck, all topics were moved to the GENERAL SKATEBOARD TRUCK DISCUSSION. Nothing was deleted. No manufacturer is guaranteed a forum ad infinitum but no topic is deleted.

Well, Vlad, here's the deal - there are seven people who could have deleted your post:

Me
Jani
Glenn S
Joe Iacavelli
Brian Parsons
Adam Trahan
AND You.

Now, I didn't do it. I doubt Jani did it because he's five hours ahead of us and I doubt he got up at 3 o'clock in the morning just to see what Vlad was posting. Glenn is three hours behind us and he might have done it, but again I doubt he takes that much interest in the DC forum. Adam T? Puh-leeze. He's probably forgotten his sign-in password. What about Joe I? Did you do anything untowards to piss him off so he took his Administrator Sword in hand and would slash your prose?

Parsons? Personally, I can't imagine Brian taking the initiative to really care one way or the other what you type unless you said something nasty about his lineage.

That leaves you. Did you hit the wrong button? Forget to "submit" after "preview"-ing? The list of imaginable scenarios is lengthy. And let's not forget there is a post still in the forum that's bold as brass accusing everyone who administrates this site as "fukkers." So if that's still around, why would some other bit of contrivance you decided to upload to cyberspace be unacceptable?

Is paranoia a well-know side affect of too much Stoli?

I never post drunk. It is so that I don't have any regrets the morning after...

I can also recreate a lot of stuff from memory. Like Rick's last post about his '06 race that he deleted soon after posting it in this thread...questioning my sanity and soberness is useless.

So, what you're about to read is written from Washington, DC 15 minutes after my workshift is over.

There were two downloads of the video to which I posted a link here and ONLY here before the Vermont race on September 24, 2005. I knew TS might not happen in VT and made our last get-together with Ohm a "prepare-for-VT-TS" session; sort of a joke...nothing serious.

I tried editing and deleting options on the first page of this topic last night and it worked well, but I couldn't erase my posts. They are all date and time stamped.

Before I left for VT, my post with a link to the video was not the last one (September 24, 2005). Which means that only someone with a moderator's rights could have done it. The only other way to do it is to obtain a moderator's rights (sign in as one) with or without a moderator's concent/knowlege. And use it. This way, any moderator could say "I didn't do it" and it would be true.

I have no comments on the VT race, and don't want to participate in any related discussions.

But I can't allow anyone to erase my posts.

I'm deeply disappointed with the way this forum is run. It is as though I'm rereading the 1984. Phantom boards and trucks no one uses are not on the priority delete/move/edit list. It's clear that someone's interests play a huge role in what gets moved where and when.
This is not the idea of a community forum. You might as well spread your legs and allow advertisement here with the same ease you spread the cone distances and "move" posts/forums.

PS. Jeff&…. please use my e-mail address for further correspondence.

PSSt. I have to post a picture in the Italian forum per Mr. Ferrero's 2-day old request and that's about it.

Hey Anthony, let me know when you guys ride Rock creek again. I wanted to come an skate the last time.

I actually set up a drop through downhill board so I am equiped with board just not safety equipment.

Riding downhill with the DHB at Hobby park got me stoked on the straight line stuff. But I just dont have the nerve yet.
