[2004] [Pre-announcement] Grueningen race

Post by Jadranko Radovanovic » Sun Nov 02, 2003 5:43 pm

Hi Maria

We plan the grueningen race in June. But I will look with Jani, Pierre and Chris Linford with the dates, that you can race most of the competitions.

Greetings Jadranko

European Races 2004

Post by Jani Soderhall » Tue Nov 04, 2003 12:11 pm

Jadranko,

As you might know the Paris race is planned for May 28 - June 1st.
Gianluca Ferrero is planning a race in Rimini, Italy, mid June.
Pierre Samray has pronounced interest in doing an event just one week before Paris. Chris Linford wanted to do a race pre or post Paris last year and might still be thinking about it.

If you do your race the first weekend of June we might end up having one race each weekend from mid May until mid June. It could be good for those who can spend one month on the road, but at the same time it seems crazy. Personally I don't know right now if it's good or bad, but some things can't be changed (Paris and Rimini) so it's up to you if you want your races in between.

The sad thing is that nobody wants to do a race in the autumn in Europe. Maybe Axel Fischer in Cologne?

Races

Post by Jadranko Radovanovic » Wed Nov 05, 2003 6:18 pm

The Grueningen race was since 2000 on the weekend beetween 19 - 23 of June. We would like to continue that serie. We aren't interest to compete against another race, that will be on the same time. The Grueningen race cost us 25.000 swiss francs last year including the party and that is much money to invest when another race will be at the same time.

The saturday wasn´t good organised. But we are young and we will work hard for the next time. We want to demostrate everybody that we can organise a big and a low cost race for the riders!

I hope Gianluca can let me know the date of his competition as soon as possible.

Greetings Jadranko

Jadranko,
you can e-mail Gianluca Ferrero at

"coniskate" <gianluca.ferrero@fastwebnet.it>

and coordinate with him. I think slalom was added to a major X-game comp in Italy in June. They don't have a choice in dates.

Rimini

Jadranko -

Take a look at
http://www.stream-games.com/summer/program.html#top.

At present, the Rimini race is scheduled for June 10, so there is probably no conflict with your schedule. Gianluca Ferraro can confirm the dates for you.

Thanks for the Info

Just wanted to say "Hi" to all our far away friends and "Thanks" for keeping the info flow going! Richy and I will do our best to be abroad for a month -- especially if there are race destinations to plan a trip around. This time though -- we will bring more "summer" clothes and less luggage. Would love to see some of Italy! Looks like things will start in Paris unless Brands kicks up the week prior . . . Best to you all.

Maria,

Antibes is planned for the week before Paris.
Check out the contest calendar for all that (we) know so far.
Help us update it if you hear of events not yet reported there.

Jani - I'm not sure where the contest calendar is that you are referring to. Can you make a link here? Thanks!

Maria,

After you started this topic, John made a post in Random topics asking for a general calendar. I then created this one:

viewtopic.php?t=1327

Discussion should be kept in other topics but pure facts about events are welcome in the above thread.

Great idea -- I have bookmarked for easy access. Might even be more user friendly (easier to find) if it was in it's own forum heading. Thanks for the "directions"! ;)
