The Slalom Euro Racing Team was filmed by Sat1 last Saturday for a show on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday morning in the Wake Up show starting at 6:00 a.m.
If anyone has access to Sat1 Germany.

Tape it- and send a copy to Floyd Reid who can transfer to a MPEG from what ever format be it- NTSC, Pal Secam etc..

Yeah Chris, Saturday was a great session.
Philipp is so stoked on Slalom now that he rides cones every day now! Well, he's training for Grueningen.

I just talked to Bernhard and he's trying to record it directly on his PC im mpeg-format, so that shouldn't be a problem.

For the unknowing: Phillip is Yoyos son, age 11 and promising. He belongs to the generation we can watch from our wheelchair in 20 years getting the times and performance we always wanted. I am just kidding....too much wine.

Chris is getting drunk.....
Well, yes Philipp is one of my two sons that skate (because I do??). Both are ripping up big ramps and time will tell how they will progress, I don't force them at all. I just asked Philipp to join us on our little trip / TV filming and he was glad to be on our team. That's how you spark a flame. I believe that kids love racing and being a little competitive every now and then. I was faster than you and stuff like that....

The feature was aired yesterday evening and this morning and will maybe run again on Saturday morning in a week flashback. I did not see it yet but according to Joe´s it was really good footage and excellent editing. We will see what results from it.

Well, I have not seen it yet, but as soon as I get a copy, I will edit it on my PC and put the file on the web.

Today I finally got a copy of our Slalom report, put it on my PC and created a low resolution 1.4 MB file to download.
Enjoy the show at:

Great Job!
Do tell the story. How did this come about? Did they see you, or did someone contact the media?

(too bad I don't speak German)

Joe just took it and called and asked wether they wanted to do something about skateboarding, they said oh no, it is already everywhere it is nothing new!
Joe explained that we do something different and thats how it started. After some difficulties Joe managed to get people together for a few hours who live hundreds of miles apart. Good job and I have seen features about skateboarding that were a lot worse. way to go.

John, have you received a (complete) copy ?
Please let me know.

YOYO edited the T.V. show in order to provide it on our website... thanks - fast and good job.

Yes, it was not easy to convince the TV people that Slalom is not 'sakteboarding' -
but we did it...

I haven't gotten a copy yet- but my hopes are that we can start compiling footage and allow people to add to it and make it available through Kazaa.com or some such type file sharing.

Good idea.

YOYO has the possibility to make a full digital version of the TV show. A edited version in on our SER-Team site http://www.SlalomEuroRacing.com

I only have a VHS tape.

Ok John,
I have a VCD version of the TV broadcast that I could send you.
Drop me an e-mail with your address at: yoyo@germanynet.de and I will get a copy out to you.
I just have a very slow modem connection at home, so that's why I don't use Kazaa.
Maybe someone can upload it..???

Later,

YOYO
