That was 16 days ago. I've been to the Farm and back and spent a weekend in Colorado since then.

What's the latest?

Radikal Stuff NOW!!!

by Wesley Tucker
Keith Hollien came up to Summerville this weekend for my Outlaw race and he has INVENTORY. I finally got my three front Rads with all the axle accessories I've been needing.

Keith has plenty of Radikal stuff: fronts, backs, downhill, axles of all sizes and bushings. In listening to him I think the only thing now on backorder is the soft CLEAR bushings and they should arrive at any time.

Anyone who's been hankering and clammering for Radikal gear should get in touch with Keith pronto. I'm sure that although he's got a good stash of stuff right now it probably won't last long. Get it while the gettin's good!

Laura,

I don't think Keith has ever published his phone number so I won't do that now. What he usually requests is you e-mail him your phone and he'll call you.

He's at: keith@keithhollien.com

If anybody needs to contact me they can call 352-494-2503. Wesley is right about my e-mail it is Keith@KeithHollien.com.

I am now selling Radikal Trucks and will be taking care of customer service.

I have Radikal Trucks and plenty of everything to sell. I have Talons(Longboard, Downhill, Bank Slalom and Super G trucks). The Talon's have 35*, 45* and 55* degree baseplates. I have angled riser pads. The slalom trucks come with 35* and 45* degree baseplates. They come in three colors; Hollien Blue, Black and Red. I have plenty of 3/8', 1/2" and 5/8" axles for both types of Radikal trucks.

The price for a set of Radikal Slalom Trucks are $330 now. The trucks will no longer have any titanium in the them and the name will no longer have titanium in it. The trucks will be called Radikal Pro Racing Trucks.

The Talon truck is selling for $250 for a set. You pick what degree the baseplates you want.

So, you're taking over from Jack, and you'll be the only contact for Radikal?

Keith,

Unlike certain other websites, there's no discouragement around here of referencing another slalom-related site.

You might want to go over to Silverfishlongboarding.com and post the same message. I posted the same announcement over there and there was quite a bit of interest. Of course, I did not take it upon myself to publish your phone but just posted the e-mail. Perhaps doing the same thing there you did here might drum up some business?

Kieth,

If a set of slalom trucks is now 330$, how much for just a front? Still 175?

Posted: Thu Oct 19, 2006 6:54 pm
by Keith Hollien
Tyler,
The price for the front truck will stay at $175 for now. We have a prototype rear coming out soon. I should recieve it today so I can put it though the ringer. I have plenty of axles and their price is lower. The 3/8" are $14 for 2 and 1/2" & 5/8" are $15 for 2.

so...if a pair is 330, and the front is 175, then the rear truck price has dropped down to 155.00??...that's a pretty big price cut

Or both are discounted when buying them as a set.

$175+$225=$400

Buy together and get 17.5% off.

Busy. You know, opening boxes from UPS, socket wrenches, screw drivers, setting bearings, assembling . . . even riding a little.

Is Jack still doing sales? I have an order for axles that should be in transit, but can't get a hold of Jack. Really need these axles as the 1/4" ones the trucks shipped with cause all sorts of problems with wheels catching on the rear hanger and wheelbite on the front truck mounting hardware!!!!!!!!!!

Jack, please let me know if my axles have shipped.

Cheers

Adrian

I want say something about cost of the trucks. The main reason that Radikal trucks are expensive is the CNC machining used to make them. CNC maching is not cheap. That is the major part of the cost of the trucks. A perfect example of CNC prices is the cost of Donald's GOG trucks($420 per set). Each one of our trucks has 2 bearing at $13 apiece and $12 for the baseplate insert plus raw material, well you get the idea.

Ttitanium prices have gone up to the point that it is not economically feasible to make the trailing swing arms and axles out of titanium. Mark wanted to have the trucks made with titanium, so he had eaten some of the cost himself. That cost is to much now. The trucks will no longer have the word titanium in the title.

We are now making the the king pins, axles and trailing swing arms out of 4140 crome-moly steel. They are heat-treated unlike the titanium parts that were not heat-treated. The trucks will be called Radikal Pro Racing Trucks.

One last thing, I just started testing the new rear prototype truck. The axles will screw into the hanger just like the fronts. It will fit on both baseplates and have the axles the same place as the swing arm rear. I will keep everybody posted.

I want to post to make sure everybody knows that I am the new customer service person. I am also doing sales and can set up dealer accounts. The 1-877-RAD-SKTR(1-877-723-7587) will be ringing on my phone this week.

I also want to make sure there is no confusion about our trucks and prices. Originally the trucks had titanium parts and were called Radikal Titanium II Pro Racing Trucks. They sold for $350 for a set and the front only sold for $175 and the rear only for $225. The price of titanium increased to a point that it was not economically feasible to make the trucks with titanium. The trucks from now on will have the axles, trailing swing arms and kingpins made out of 4140 chrome-moly steel. The trucks will be called Radikal Pro Racing Trucks. Mike has said the new price for a set will be $330 and the front only will be $155 and the rear only will be $205. The axles will sell for $7 each for 3/8”, the 1/2”& 5/8” will sell for $7.50 each and 3/4” axles for $9 each. Radikal Trucks come supplied with 1/4” axles.

I want to announce we are coming out with a new rear hanger. The new hanger will be made out of the same 61-T6 aircraft grade billet aluminum that the front(Dragon’s Claw) truck is made from. The new rear hanger will no longer have trailing swing arms and the axles will screw into the hanger. The axles will be in the same position as the trailing swing arms in the lower hole on the present version of the rear(Dragon’s Tail) truck. I have been testing the hanger for the last week and it works well. I will have a few of the new trucks with me at the Dixie Cup this weekend. We are going to give one away one of the new rear trucks(1 of 7 prototypes) as a prize. We have also donated a Dragon’s Claw as a separate prize. The new rear will reduce the price for a set of trucks to $300. The new rear only will sell for $155. The new rear hanger works on our present baseplates and the hanger only will sell for $100. Mike has made some more angled aluminum riser pads. We now have 1/2” riser pads angled to 10 & 5 degrees, 3/8” riser pads angled to 5 degrees and 1/4” riser pads angled to 2 degrees. I will keep everybody up to date on our new trucks as they develop.

I am selling my Keith Hollien Signature Series Hardcore boards for $60 retail. For any questions what so ever feel free to contact me at Keith@KeithHollien.com or 352-494-2503. Do not forget the toll free phone number above will ring on my phone soon.
