For those of you who have raced in Morro Bay, you are probably familiar with Morro Bay Boulevard, it runs parallel to Pacific Street, one block north.
The city just finished repaving it on Friday, May 8th, 2009. It's butter smooth, perfect fresh black.
I will soon announce a date for a major race this fall, probably the second weekend in October.
Here's what I'm thinking...
Format:
32 racer invitational
Head to Head racing
Dual Elimination Format
The course:
Jonny Miller's Thunder Dome start ramps ( he told me he will build another)
Mirrored courses
A couple of small jumps or rollovers in each course
A banked wall with one cone, on each course
Entry Fee and Purse:
Somewhere between $2,500 and $5,000 for first place
Pays to 32nd place ($200)
Entry Fee $200 (really a placeholder fee, to show your serious about attending)
I'm already talking to Fuel and Versus about a thirty minute show.
More soon.
