[2008] Call for sanction applications for N. America

Post by Pat Chewning » Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:06 pm

We are developing the 2008 ISSA slalom skateboard race schedule. If you plan on running a contest in 2008, it would be a huge benefit to us if we could find the date of the contest ASAP, and if you would follow up with a contest sanction application as soon as you have enough details for your race.

Things that have changed since 2007:
A) ISSA rules are published, you should become familiar with these and follow them as close as possible. Exceptions must be stated in the application.
B) BASIC events granted a status without going through the whole review process by the contest coordinators. (Eddy Martinez, Chris Barker, Pat Chewning).

In order of urgency, here are the steps I'm asking you to take:

1 ) Post your contest date here. This lets us find contest-date conflicts as early as possible:
http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/phpBB ... php?t=5612

2) Obtain a sanction application here, fill it out, and send it in. This helps us to find out how many PRIME, MAIN, and MAJOR candidates for sanction there are.:

3) Review the 2008 Rules here. Contestants will expect the race to be run according to these rules:

We need to have MAIN and MAJOR contest applications received ASAP in order to fit them into the schedule. We will make the decisions on MAIN and MAJOR by the end of February.

Thank you, and let's look forward to a great 2007 racing season.
