Hey Leo, I was just gonna ask if anyone had Farm Race updates!! Thanks!

However, I keep getting a 404 item-not-found message, even though I can see photos by topic? Oh well,. :-(

So, How IS this Year's FARM shaping up? Curious and babysitting ex-racer wants to know! Thanks to any and all in advance.

I miss ya ALL !! :-)

Hey Adam, the wipeout you took was mighty impressive!

Could it be that our local Subsonic rider was going supersonic? ;-)

glad you are ok dude, you scare us all.

It was a nice strategy to get Amy close to you, though.

Thank you Joe I. Coming from you that means alot bro, both Fatty and I were truly STOKED. Bros this contest is so laid back, I know I said that about LSJ. But The Farm was the gathering of asphalt, peace, and love. Joe I your Dad and Mom are totally cool. The GS from the top was insane and fast. Such cool vibes. Thanks bro. I did not want it to end. The above image is actually the following

Eddie - Finger in Rob's butt
Rob - Obviously enjoying it
Karl - Has no idea what's going on
Weasel - Horrified 'cause he saw Eddie lick his finger first ;)

Steal is going a bit to far I'd say. I'd say more along the lines of a gift.....kinda like when the cat brings home a dead rodent and vomits it up on the front steps ;)

So are you and Joe like blood brothers now... or is it more like "we both have the Hep"?

Some of it is even correct!
Nice Dan...good promo, but it makes me wonder what happened to people's ability to write and report correctly - what a mess!

I do think the reporter's statement that "there were no signs and no notice of the race" means we have to do a better job of that sort of thing if we really want to promote and grow the sport. That probably has more to do with Joe being a one man show this year, with late race location confirmation and late event announcement. It would be nice to get results in the paper too...or even find them at all for that matter.

On that last point, since The Farm is an ISSA sanctioned race with world ranking points at stake, I guess the fact we have no results means no points. :-(

Toles & Koles,

7 yrs in a row is a long time to put up with your drunk a hole friends, but we may have a year or two left in us. Don't wait too long.

We have some possible changes coming, nothing definite.

* A resort in the Catskill MT's with a newly paved road. We would rent the whole place out, fees would include room and food for the entire weekend. Stage, dance floor, shuffleboard, did you see Dirty Dancing? Nobody puts tway in a corner!

* After our recent newspaper coverage I've been contacted by the Shrinners of Springfield, MA. They would like to promote The Farm to benefit their childrens hospital. I said "Of course you realize we'll need access to the little cars" They said "no problem". So would you come to a race with a Shrinner Shuttle back up the hill?

To be sincere Tod, which is no small feat for me, I'd be disapointed not to have you here.

Rick,

Luckily Seb and Leo took pictures of the results. I'll have them up by Monday.

In the future though, points is something I would like to discuss with our Farm community. If points is why people come, then we will keep it up. But if the majority don't care, then maybe another race should take it.

Joe,

Shriners at a skateboard race..........hmmm, I think a glyph in the Mayan calender
predicts this would happen... We'll try and make it before 2012

Kara has the traveling bar customized and stocked, and we'd like to reserve the
"Caveman Suite" at the resort... Hopefully it's in the opposite wing from Tways room...
(not really interested in the "theme" he "goes" for, so keep it to yourself...) :-)

Love ya,

TnKoles

Thanks Joe - and thanks again for you and your family's hard work in putting on the event!

Since that was quite possibly the funniest couple of days I've ever spent in my life, with some KILLER people, points really seem secondary. Although it was my first FARM, I of course saw that the spirit of the event is fun skateboarding and partying with friends, for a good cause. Since it is a slightly "off KILTer" event then why not make it just for fun and bag the points. Those in the know will still attend.
