Slalom Week 2005...

Eighty people have signed up for the event. The racers listed below are the only official entrants. Please pay your entry fee NOW. If your sponsor is paying your entry fee, please remind them to pay it NOW.

The reason I keep harping on this, is that there are a lot of pre-race expenses that need to be paid. Thanks in advance for your help!

I would also like to welcome Pocket Pistols as a co-sponsor of the timing system. Khiro is the other timing system sponsor.

We will have large "time displays" for both lanes at the finals.

Official Entries as of August 28th:
David Hackett
Judi Oyama
Eddie Spearing - New Zealand
Richy Carrasco
Chris Chaput
Martin Drayton
Chicken Deck
Adrian Pina
David Pirnack
Bill Boothby
Keli Benko
Brent Kosick
Tim Kienitz
Gib Lewis
Lynn Kramer
Kenneth Mollica
Jonathon Harms
Adam Schwippert
Billy Bordy

September 5th Entry Deadline

If I do not receive 50 more paid entries by September 5th, I will be forced to consider cancelling the Worlds.

I hope not...

Jack,
I really hope it doesn't come to that as I'm sure many of those who have paid have booked and paid for flights, accomodation, car rental and will lose money from missing work. I realise that if not enough people book, it is not your fault, so I know that you may have no choice.
Damn, Eddie will be pissed, he's booked everything to come from New Zealand!

ALL YOU SLACKERS WHO HAVEN'T PAID...COUGH UP THE MONEY! YOU KNOW YOU ARE COMING ANYWAY, SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL PAY NOW!

Entry Deadline is Monday, September 5th.

Entry Deadline is Monday, September 5th.

New sponsors include:
Gravity Skateboards
Pizza Port
Central Coast Surfboards
Sierra Summit Ski Area

One of our local sponsors is going to let me know today about some possible low cost lodging. They have three, brand new, two bedroom apartments in Morro Bay.
The apts. are not furnished at all, so you would need to bring sleeping bags and towels. I'll post more as soon as I know.

There will be a welcome party at the Pizza Port on Monday night, September 12th at 7:00pm. We will also hold the awards ceremony there on Sunday at 6:00pm. Tim Cowen of Wavelengths Surf Shop recently purchased the Pizza Port and offered the use of the Port.

I need to hear from all racers as to whether you are racing Pro or Am.

It's now 6:00am PST.

After much thought and input from trusted advisors I am announcing that junior class racers who wish to enter both the open and junior classes will be allowed to do so. Also, women who wish to enter the women's and the open division will be allowed to do so.

Those who make the choice will be required to pay an entry premium. The idea for the entry premium came from the racers.

I would not have considered this dual class racing if the number of junior and women racers were greater.

This option is not available to open class racers wishing to race both open and pro.

Looking forward to seing all of you soon.

All the best,
Jack
