Just a thought about race planning...

Do you think it would be a good idea if all of the European countries got together on a skype call or something to discuss each others proposed race dates at the start of each year so as to get a good even spread of races throughout Europe during the season? This would also enable those of us that enjoy travelling to races (Team GB like a "road trip") plan ahead a little so we don't miss out on good races? It could also help boost attendance at races, which in turn would lead to more entry revenue for the race organiser and so increase the money available to put on the event/pay insurances/road closure permits/prize fund/pay marshalls etc. A basic win win situation, no?
I appreciate that a lot of races form part of other events where the dates cannot be changed - it happens here in the UK. Right now for example starting this weekend we have three races on consecutive weekends because we are racing as a part of a large annual UK event. Most of the time the dates of these events/festivals were 'set in concrete' at the end of the previous year. However that said, the stoke is huge amongst the UK skaters with three weekends of races, lots of friendly rivalrys forged at Hog Hill will be fought out - these always make for good "balls out" racing.
We are also now running a British Slalom Championship with points awarded for each race in the UK. At the end of year we will have trophy presentation - and who knows maybe some £ for the winner?
Anyway think about a little "pre-season friendly" liaison on race dates in future? Like I said it's just a thought?
