European Status Marshals 2010

It's time to elect new European Status Marshals for 2010. Peter Klang, Ramon Königshausen and Dominik Kowalski has now served two years and it's time to renew these positions. Previous status marshals are of course eligible for re-election.

Can we have some suggestions from people willing to take on this task?

Why not move to a "delegate" structure? We could have one delegate per country plus a head marshall for EU. Country delegates could sanction Basic and Prime events in their country and Major and Main events would require the country delegate plus the head marshall (and a third marshall?) sanctioning.

I thinks this way we could be able to have a faster sanctioning process.

No problem for me to do this for Spain

How about for the rest of Europe too?

I don't know if this is the right time to change the status handling, there are other higher priority issues to deal with I think. Let's see what the others think about it.

I would like to nominate Gustavs Gailitis as status marshal for 2010. That'll bring in some fresh views into the status management.

That's two so far: Gustavs and Ricardo.

Any more candidates?

I commit to do it for Spain. Not sure I have enough experience yet and -specially- free time for wider EU role.

To late Jani, sorry. I, Ramon and Kowalski will do it for 2010. All be set by next week, just waiting for London dates.

You're back???
With the lack of action from your side last year I thought you'd be happy to have this done by someone else. How about a change in ranking marshals? if not now, then at least for 2011. I'd say a two year period should probably be the usual term.

I´m back baby, full of energy. I know it should be a vote or something but we are in 2010 already and status need to be set. So far we have,
Stockholm world record weekend may 13-16
Zurich European Championships june 4-6
Gruningen june 18-20
Grenoble june 26-27
Riga july 3-4
Kralave July 24-25
London august 6-8
Policka august 14-15
Brixlegg World Championships (if we agree) august 20-22 or 27-29
Amsterdam september 3-5
London october 9-10

As you all can see, there will be plenty of racing this summer and we need for everyones best set status this coming week.

2 citys has only asked for Prime so they are pretty much set. Thats Stockholm and London.

THIS IS GREAT

Yours Fastest

some words since i just read this:
whoever came to the insulting idea to call the "BRIXLEGG BLITZ" a different name.
this was very very funny and thank you so much for your very very professional respect towards the race.
i will keep your individual stupidity in mind-ALWAYS

Donald,

I fixed the name of your race in the post above. I don't think having that posted on line would assist you or our sport, so I made the change.

I change yet the different name, also in the 2010 Contest Calendar Forum.
No Idea where this came from.
Keine ahnung von wem es kam und wer es reingeschrieben hat.

We have to migrate the old race status to the new one.

Since the rules revision was made AFTER most of the statuses were set, we were under the impression that the new rules would come into effect with the next applications, therefore only next season. However, the official 2010 rule book still features the sanctions for MAJOR, MAIN, PRIME and BASIC.

By the way the dates for the EC in Zürich is 4th-6th of June.

ok, so, there is no status migration in 2010.
If BOD don't agree with this, please inform me.

PS: The date for Zürich is now correct.
