Major status and EC for Policka

Post by Radim Hromadko » Tue May 19, 2009 11:44 pm

Dear Sirs,

We were asking you for the Major status and EC for Polička contest about 5 months ago. Even we asked again (last time about 30 days ago) you were not able to answer till today. Hereby we let you know that we back out of our candidature for the Major with EC, because we are not able to organize such a event from the reasons above and below.

We will organize a contest in the same date and quality with status you will set for it. We are not able to arrange prize money in announced amount for it because our general sponsor withdraw from the contract because of „non serious behaviour“.

With best regards,

Roman Tuma contest director
Radim Hromádko president
SK8 Slalom Polička

This is really sad!!!
How come the status marshals never set the statuses? I have asked this question many times! Organisers need to know and so do the racers! Is it that hard or do they just dont do their job? I know that nobody gets payed, but if you agreed to do a job you just do it!
Very bad for the sport too, I thouhgt we all wanted it to grow? If sponsors think we are "non serious" its bad! I feel very sorry for the Policka crew!
Status marshals, please react!!!

Antonio

Just for the record.

2009 is a year of financial crises worldwide, prize purse is not a priority.

Run the Euros in Policka as Major, everybody has set there plans according.

Stockholm will be right after...

There won't be a women division in Policka (I think that European championship should have one)?

Place for special is around the fountain like last two years?

Maybe some of Czech guys can make a new topic about European championships?

I recommend everybody to come to POLICKA ;)
