Great, now pray for no rain!

How is the surface?

a close-up photo with a bearing on it would be of great help!

the weather situtation on the course for the ams is as follows:
some offset cones lead into some wider swings and some nicely offset cones again, all on a steep hill, which leads to burning urethane and some nice adrenaline rushes combined with some fricking speed, right at the first third of the hill,IF you make it clean to the bottom, expect
some 6 foot straight cones to get more speed(they are tricky to enter with the speed you have) running into some good offsets to make you work for your prizes.

no mercy from the wicked ones!!!!!!!!!

next up is the pro course.

what a nice way to start the season.

a longer forecast - - - the SUN comes !

Posted: Mon Mar 27, 2006 1:00 pm
by Chris Eggers
Sat., April 1

Rain 3 - 5 l/qm
Risk 79 %
Humidity 68 %

Where do you see the sun there Joe?
I wish I had your view...............

Posted: Mon Mar 27, 2006 1:19 pm
by Joachim Leonhardt
hoping for sun, weather can change fast in D'dorf. (because it is near to the north-sea NL, mostly weather comes from westside)

Posted: Mon Mar 27, 2006 1:39 pm
by YOYO SHULTZ
Sun would be GREAT, but I guess it will not be.

Let's plan for an alternative session in the bowl as well, so noone is disappointed if it rains out.

Posted: Mon Mar 27, 2006 1:39 pm
by Donald Campbell
all pool-sessions are racers only.
so if you want to join the race you can skate the pool,if not,no chance on that weekend.
i'm checking on a really good alternative for the race,if it rains, more later...

So Joe is 100% responsible for the weather forecast and will pay gas money to everybody if it rains out.....LOL!

YOYO thanxs for your kind help !!!

have sun in your heart and you got it ~~~

so i checked a few spots today-IF IT RAINS-and chances are good that we will pull off the race ANYWAY.

here's the lowdown:you WILL race on sunday-if not in oberkassel-then somewhere else.
we have a good and organized crew in düsseldorf and cologne and we will make it happen anyway.

there's enough cars around and hopping from one location to the next is pretty easy with a bunch of cool, motorized guys.
i scouted some locations in the nearby area today, some are under bridges or maybe in a huge factory, next to the bowl.ain't that scenic?

to the one guy who propagates on other forums that the race will be rained out:keep up your pessimistic spirits,we don't care and we don't see you racing either.
there's a big difference between keyboard-racing and real racing.
so put up or shut up.

who will come to the 1st SPSB (Slalom and Pool Skater Brunch) at Heiko's Shop ?

Posted: Thu Mar 30, 2006 10:51 am
by Donald Campbell
erst steil , dann total flat .....quasi erst rollen lassen und dann Gas geben !

that's what carsten posted on another forum

oh oh oh you will see there is a difference from 1 year ago to now.

no more rolling around but fighting with traction and speed on a hill-that's the new style

But what about the course itself? Spacing I mean...

rmn

Posted: Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:27 pm
by Donald Campbell
you could make it on the c81 i guess
spacing on the hill is 2m at the start and it goes wider into2-4m cone distances
the bottom starts with 1,80m again
that looks loke a special course to me,eh?

Posted: Thu Mar 30, 2006 5:25 pm
by Carsten Pingel
sounds challenging ! :-)

Posted: Thu Mar 30, 2006 6:16 pm
by Ramón Königshausen
yeah, I agree it's a special! I can even ride TS with my C81 if the course isn't too nasty...
