Sorry for my incompetence and ingnorance; What are speed rings. Where do they belong? On the wheels? Trucks? and what do they do(I figure they have something to do with speed). Can you not have them? Somebody please explain.

Shihan,
A speed-ring is a washer that has an inside diameter that is large enough to fit on the truck’s axle and an outside diameter that is small enough so as to not interfere with the spinning part of the bearing. I’ve only been able to find them at skateshops, so calling them by their size is not really a useful practice. Thus “speed rings”.
