Risers

Do you think 1/2" of risers is too much for 70mm wheels (Grippins)? I have yet to ride it on this setup. I have the front (Tracker RT-X) on a 1/8" shock pad and a wedge that raises it about the same as a 1/2" riser. In the back (Tracker RT-S) I have a 1/8" shockpad and a 3/8" riser. Do you think this is too much or should I ditch the shock pads? I just wanted them for a little bit of a smoother ride. I'll make the final decision when I ride it but I just want to know what you guys think.

1/2 inch sounds like a lot. I use them on 70mm wheels but on a DH race. But if it just feels good then go with it.

Yea I can always take off the shock pads but I'd like to keep them for added shock absorbancy. I'll exeriment with taking them off. I'll see how smooth it rides with and without them. The 3/8" hard riser in the back is 3 1/8' risers stacked I could take one off and leave the shockpad on and then have just the wedge in the front. Anyway I'll make the final decision when I get the deck.
