Black 3DMs

Anyone have the black 3DM wheels?
If so, how are they?
Do they hold up well, are they fast?
Will your feet go numb if you are not on the smoothest of surfaces?
Do they hop if you turn too sharply? (because of the lip?)
These wheels are 94a i believe, if im wrong please correct me.
(p.s. i was thinking of a set of Avilas in this duro, they do make the Avilas in black right?)

Nope, the hardest Avila is 88a, which is purple. (Avila colors are two duro points lower than Avalons/Cambrias of the same color.) Avalons and Cambrias both come in black, which is indeed 94a.

I have two black Avalons that are supposed to be 94a, but measured 90a on KMG's durometer. I
also have two grey 90a's that measure an actual 91a.
So I run grey front, black rear. Nice fast wheels, even if the duro was a little off. And they
haven't numbed my feet, though the worst place I've used them is about 6 of 10 in smoothness rating.

As far as I can tell, 3dm may be the only brand offering grip-oriented wheels in such hard duros.
Regarding duro precision, it's typical for all wheels to have at least ±2 point tolerance in their specification. More than that, I take it up with the factory.

My previous post was not intended to be a dis on 3dm.
It's my understanding that there are variances on all skateboard wheels.
I did not mean to imply quality problems specifically with these wheels, they are great!
In fact, I overheard someone say that many skaters changed to 3dm's at Athens
for more traction due to a less than perfect surface.

I have used the black Cambrias a few times and they were fast and grippy. They are not for all surfaces, but on the right surface I really like them. I have not had a chance to ride the Avalon in black, but I would not hesitate to use them for the right conditions. The ones I have are holding up well and my feet do not go numb(I ride Radikal trucks with the Radikal metal riser pads).
