Some wheel news. 3dm Avalon 68mm wheels are now available in 78a durometer in a striking shade of turquoise (ask Jack or Attila about the color).
And 3dm Cambria 62mm wheels are now available in 74a durometer in our favorite shade of red.
Red 3dm Avila's in 72a should finally be back in stock next week, and we should also have the new 3dm Cambria 62mm in 94a durometer in stock as well. We'll post pictures when they are finally available.

I recently switched to the Turquoise 78 duro 3DM wheels in the back. These puppies grip the road and don't let go. I have been using so much they are coning quite quickly. Time to order another pair. Awesome wheels. Eddy Texas Outlaw.

Seeing as Ive only used one brand and size of slalom wheels (green ones) I would love some imput on how the size of the wheels affect the ride.
I will be setting up a new deck Roe S Camber for next season and I will be riding 3DM wheels. Help making a choice would be great.
I tend to set courses on medium to slight grade at 6' +.
Ive been at this for 3 yrs, so Im a slalom newbie at 38.
Ok, color might affect my choice. OH! those Turquoise wheels are so beautiful.
With that in mind will both wheels be available in Turquoise and in various duros in the future?
Thanks so much. I feel like a kid again.

When you have 3 different sizes and 15 different durometers to choose from, it's a challenge to guess what will work best. In general, the largest wheel that you can control through a course is likely to be the fastest. The Cambrias (62mm) have the best traction of the 3dm wheels, and they're also the most nimble, but Cambrias don't carry as much speed as the larger Avalons or Avilas. On a steeper course where you don't need to generate or carry speed, the smaller wheels will generally give you an advantage, but on flatter or more gradual courses, the opposite is true.

If you can pick only one size and durometer, the Avalon 78a (turquoise) or Avalon 80a (white) will probably give you the most all-around flexibility.

Thanks Howard...
I will take your advise and give the 78's a try.
Any more colors in the works for next season?
