The ISSA Board of Directors (BOD) has 7 elected members. Each member serves for a period of two years. Three members are elected at the end of uneven years, and four are elected at the end of even years.

The following BOD members are nearing the end of their term 2018-2019:

Hans "Corky" Koraeus (SWE)
Rogerio "Sammy" Nogueira (BRA)
Robert Thiele (GER)

Sammy and Corky volunteer to continue for another two year period. Robert, however, has chosen to step down after a good number of years as EU status marshal and later as a BOD member. Thanks for your years of service to the skate community Robert!

The nomination period is now open for two weeks until Nov 30, noon (Central European Time).
If there are more than one additional candidate (in addition to Corky and Sammy), we'll follow up with a vote among ISSA members.

Voting rights are available for:
- current BOD members
- current ISSA co-workers 2019
- Any racer that has participated in an ISSA sanctioned race in 2019

Members must have an account in the SlalomSkateboarder.com Forum on Nov 30, noon (CET), as that is where the voting happen Dec 1-15.

Nominations can be posted here:

Thank you!

Respond to this topic with nominations. You may nominate any other skater, but it is a requirement that you confirm with the person prior to the nomination. Also we'd like a public reply by the nominee here to any nomination. All so until Nov 30, noon (CET).

Thanks!

I hereby nominate Michal Subrt, who's one of the EU status marshals and well known throughout the slalom world for both his work on races and for his racing talent. He has confirmed that he's willing to step up and take a BOD position also in addition to continuing as EU status marshal.

Thanks a lot, Jani, for nominating me, it's a real honour for me. If there are more ISSA members that believe in me too, I promise to do my best for ISSA BOD. I hope that we can move skateslalom together higher and attract more young racers too...

I nominate Joe McLaren who has been part of the slalom world since he was just a boy - coming up through the competition ranks from junior to pro. Joe has been traveling to compete internationally since 2010 when he also won his first Pro World Championship in Czech Republic and has maintained an impressive record since then in addition to hosting top level competitions in his home state of Colorado. His many years of experience - both as a competitor and an organizer - have given him a deep understanding of the world racing scene. Joe has confirmed he is interested to join the ISSA BOD and wants to help keep slalom moving forward into the future.

Thank you Maria for the nomination, it’s a true honor. I believe that with my knowledge of slalom skateboarding in multiple capabilities from beginning in 2002 in the junior class, to working my way through the ranks to the pro class, racing all over the world, and being apart of several event crews and being a head event organizer, I have an unique perspective of slalom racing. I truly love slalom skateboarding and would love to give back to the sport and community that has given me so much by helping pushing the sport forward.
