PAVEL VS PPS

Post by Donald Campbell » Sun Apr 29, 2007 9:09 pm

on a public notice i would like to go into this topic to get it covered once and for all!

i randomly get e-mails saying "pps sucks" or "pps is dead".
some folks go so far to say that chicken sucks, forgetting what he has done in the past for the sport and for the entertainment factor in general.

to make this clear: i don't think so

besides that i value what chicken has done for the sport and i also value him as a personality.

i have no beef with him nor do i want to destroy pps.
people who think i could or would try to do that grossly misinterprete my intentions and the general state of the market.

pps were the first decks i really liked,i admit that.
i also like the general image chicken transports in his decks.

it seems that we are very like minded and if god wills so we will both stay here for a very long time enrichening the scene with new and exciting boards and epic battles.

i made sure my team is trong enough to do that and chicken has a very nice team too.
so it won't be boring at all.

please, again, don't create things that are not there...

not from my side anyway!

thank you for reading and spreading the word making sure there are no misunderstandings.

The only thing Donald missed was Chicken's own abilities at Slalom and skateboarding in general.

He kicks A&& period.

Why are people so pussy and have to diss stuff anyway?

Hey Don I think it's wicked cool that you've posted that up here. I think Pavels are some of the most well built high performance boards out there. Anyone with pool skating back ground should try out Pavel. I tell everyone to find the board that works for them. I personally need a light weight board with flex, it's just my style. I love my pocket pistol and I'm not about to trade it in for something 'cooler'. I love the response the flex gives me to weight and deweight- and get that snap.

Chicken is certainly not out of business or not involved in Slalom. Chicken has been the coolest dude in supporting us gang of kids trying to make slalom a school sport!! I ordered two two foamcores from chicken only two weeks ago and my two friends are riding them now!

The Needham crew loves PPS. Check out those two new puppies in the front.

Chicken has sponsored our school race next month and has already sent a couple woods for free that we will be distributing as prizes. We can't believe a killer skate company like PPS would support us- THANKS.

If you want a good board with flex then Pocket Pistol is the way to go- if you want that direct stiff feeling I'd go with a Pavel. It's all personal choice. I've met Don a bunch of times and his boards are unreal. If it makes you feel any better man I bought my last pistol from Heiko's shop. That way carsten could buy a new pavel, hah.

Contact Chicken at pocketpistolsk8sATaol.com he's making foamcores to order and ships extremely quickly.

I have gone back and read several posts from Donald.

Of the one's I have read, Donald posts in a very positive and eloquent way. I have not heard him snipe or talk sh@t about anyone--- just the opposite. He actually has nice things to say about others, and I have to tell you, it is really quite refreshing!
You hear so often people's bashing of others, and it gets tiresome.

Donald--- you are a breath of fresh air!

I am happy to be part of the representation of Pavel and GOG.
I hope this is the just the beginning of long and happy relationship, and I'm just goofy enough to be able to represent them in the way they are accustomed!
