If the two of you ever did race, most everyone would insist you stand on your head, wear a blindfold and be handcuffed behind your back just to make if fair.

And you'd still win by a large margin, assuming he didn't bail out and DQ.

And no foot lifting after the first cone? You mean if during a difficult offset I raise my rear foot off the board but manage to recover, I`m still DQ`d?

Get a grip dude and get your own life in order first. Your constant digs at me are futile attempts to hide your own inadequacies.

Oh BTW, I don`t own an easy chair...do you?

Are you going to ride that S-Camber?

I seem to remember you saying something about how you don't like high camber boards. Will this one be an exception? From the looks of it, that's about as high a camber as I've seen on some of the new boards floating around out there.

Ya know wes. I started riding lower camber decks and found them easier to ride on the bigger high speed courses. For TS however I still think its a valid design. The S cambers dont feel like a high camber deck cause your rear foot is sitting low and flat. As of right now all my decks have 3/8 or less camber and are pretty stiff. TK

I have to agree with this. It's hard to tell someone to "go away" who NEVER shows up to an event. I will put together a parallel and tight special slalom event. RFK racetrack or the Whitehouse roller/inline-slalom ground.

Alot of this may seem dramatic. Alot of this may seem like nonsense. Alot of this may seem to be pointless, or at the very least debating a small and slight point in a small and meaningless world.....but it isn't to some.

The biggest form of protest is doing nothing at all. Sometimes the loudest voice is one that doesn't speak.

This ENTIRE issue is not about Tight slalom or Giant slalom or specifics of board length or even skill level. It IS an attitude, a way of thinking by a small but very vocal minority. A minority that obviously doesn't believe in themselves and needs to be a thron in everyone's side to feel they are worth anything.

This reaction is very carefully constructed, not by any few people sititng at a table coming up with a plan...but by people who share like opinions that have the same goal for the development of a sport we love...but who can not just stand by without protest against what they see as instanity. Some people will be vocal while others stand behind in the shadows. We know where we aren't welcome as our enemies should as well. This entire issue can be debating and discussed in a adult manner without resorting to school yard bully thinking of "meet me behind the swing-set and we will settle this like men".

it is an open debate with our side becoming as loathsome in rhetoric as the other in an observation of the insanity of their attitude. It can be a game if you want it to be, but no one will win, only the sport of slalom skateboarding can win.

Some don't care....some just "want to have fun"...some want everyone to like them...that is fine....that is natural...this IS fun afterall, if it isn't stop doing it.

It is time to make a stand....make it known that a balance is needed. Maybe this IS too philisophical but isn't everything when you get down to it?

The time is now....the balance is here....can't we all just get along....hmmm....someday my friends, until then it might get ugly (well uglier) as we all know it probably will...but not from our doing or even our claimed instigation...all this was instigated long ago....

There is no IDEAL race format. Some like this others like that. I liked the FarmII. I liked the Paris. I liked the MS. I like Cyber Slalom. Many others were ok.

All of these have something I don’t like. Painfully slow starts in Paris and the FarmII sucked out a lot of fun from the competition. Cyber slalom is a GS masturbation on flat. It has no right no exist. The cone spacing should be under 6 ft on flat. GS boards should not be used on flat. BUT! It’s a discipline and people around the world can compare their times with each other. Therefore, I like Cyber Slalom.

To each his own.

To me- the kind of slalom competition that rewards the time and effort I put in practicing, gym, dieting and thinking about my (for now) favorite sport. The Cup that stands for Athletic ability, Power, Speed, Quickness. Not for longboarding around cones at high speed. Not something that rewards equipment. Not something that rewards reaction time on horse gates.

This is by one of the top world slalomers. Per Svensson has had as much influence on me as Jani all through reading Slalom! mags.

Very stylish skater? Guess what? Per doesn’t want to play these longboard slalom games in Europe as well. He can’t stand the "equalizer" courses that wouldn’t let "Luca" win.
And if "Luca" can't win this is a powerful indictor that something's longboardfully rotten here.
God (and Dr. Ferrero) save him from going to any "modern" slalom HELL!

How about adding some crappy asphalt into the picture?... So those who master high speed on hard wheels can’t do shit? Always a good trick when nothing else works.

I totally respect your slalom skateboarding ability. You are the fastest TS racer I have seen since Piercy, and unlike most who post here and on the other site, I actually saw BP race numerous times.

Most of the time I enjoy reading your insightful and well written posts. Lately your posts are filled with hate and profanity. From what I gather there is "one" person who gives you a hard time about your slalom course preferences. Are there more?

I know that I will miss not having you compete in Morro Bay, many others will also.

That's really weird. Here on the East Coast we always hear the EXACT SAME THING about a certain skater on the West Coast.
