Specs

Post by Greg Fadell » Thu Jun 14, 2007 9:27 pm

I will try to post multiple view pics this weekend.
9x34
Will be available in wood and foam.
The foamies come in both traditional and ballistic concave.
Bara road one of my ballistic foamies and has already placed an order......

Wood version had upturned nose and concave and will have wheel bases for slalom and standard board specs to give full function tail!
It's been my main ride for a few weeks..... I'm stoked on it.

Give it a shot, I wouldn't lead you wrong.....

Welcome aboard Karl!

Yo Greg

I just put an order in with Chicken- the traditional one with a medium flex.

I wanted a 34 before because before I've been riding a 32 and a 36. On big courses the 32 would accellerate really well but hit top speed to early. The 36 would float at a great top speed but be hard to get there right out of the gate. I think a 34 will be a perfect fit for this year especially in head to head Giant races.

I will be riding this puppy in the Buckeye most likely.
Thanks man PPS rules.

Killer!
I had the same take on the 32 and 36, which is why I went with the 34.
It's right on!

So do you still ride either the 32 or the 36? My problem is always on race day picking equipment, if I try to split my few practice runs between boards trying to figure what's faster I end up losing out because niether is dialed for the course by time for qualifying. Which is why I just travelled with one board for the past month.

I'm thinking maybe 31 ballistic concave or Red Eye for tight and the Fadell 34 for everything else.

But I still love my 32 and I don't want to have two boards for the same kind of course, it was hard enough carrying a backpack, one board and trophies ;) from race to race.

I've also been thinking about a 34-inch hybrid. Great timing! Thanks!

I am unaware of exactly when the Fadell Pro Model will be available to buy from the online shop: http://www.pocketpistolskates.com/shop/ ... decks.html because it's so new. But I am sure if you email chicken directly at PocketPistolSk8s AT aol.com he'll be able to set you up pretty quickly.

PS the website looks much better now, you can easily see all the board shapes the options for Ballistic Concave or traditional flex and all the prints are there. Looks Shaaarp.

that's a hot ad......kinda makes me want to bang June Cleaver.....

And did anybody else catch the irony in that Fadell DOESNT have an avatar picture?

His foamy was the first board i'd ridden with a tail and that deep concave....'twas the week before St Louis and getting back on a flat board felt odd.....the wide tail and that kick make it real easy to get planted on.....

I've gotta protest, even though I'm afraid it will cast a long lasting pall on Greg's excellent deck.

The name of the movie is Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill. Does the the PPS ad say Kill Kill? NO, so where does Faster Faster come from?

If you scene Reefer Madness clearly you remember the piano scene where one "hop head" all tweaked out on the demon weed urges the piano player to play....

Faster! Faster!

You can keep your kewpie doll Bara. Next time you ask for a movie quote, make sure you ask correctly.

I got the "Faster" off the original Russ Meyer poster for Faster Pussycat Kill, Kill!
I put it on there twice cause it sounded......Faster!
I am still trying to get around to posting pics. Whenever I have free time I skate to get "away" from the cameras.
The wheel bases for the Ballistic Hardcore are from 16.25 to 22.5inches. They will be available from the usual suspects soon.
Foamcores can currently be ordered directly from Chicken, and the wheel bases on those are from 20 to 23.75in.
I'm riding my hardcore at the park with Indys 139's and whatever wheels fit the situation, but I also ride slalom with it outfitted with GOG's. But I have been using the Foams on the hill.
I'll have each version with me in Chicago this weekend as long as work doesn't slam me.
It's rad to ride the same shape for both park and slalom cause you are already used to it no matter what.
Chicks dig the shape too...............Kill, Kill!

Photos of my GF model...

Post by Chad Hegerty » Fri Aug 10, 2007 1:10 pm

Wanted to show a few photos of what the GF model, non-foam core, looks like.

I am new to slalom having tried it in the recent Buckeye Open that Kenny held. I had such a good time that I am now going to build a few setups to learn on.

I have just set the board up and taken a maiden voyage so far. If you have any suggestions about the setup feel free to give pointers. I need them.

on the last pic, it looks like you have your front wedge pad set up in the wrong way.
The thiner part of the pad must be in the front ;)

Somebody want to get word to Fadell?

The Telegraph claims Quentin Tarantino has chosen Britney Spears to star in his remake of 'Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!' The pop star would play one of a trio of killer lesbian strippers. If he signs on Madonna and Christina Aguilera, we are so there. (Aug 6)

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I was wondering, is this deck is still available anywhere?

A friend of mine had one when they first came out and it's awesomeness basically got me back into skating.. I could probably finagle it away from my buddy, but I'd like a new one if possible.
