If it's on Thursday I can't attend, but it's ok for me.

I think Corky is too heavily booked himself to be able to participate, but maybe he can find a location for those that want to meet up.

Donald, go for it!

---> Primary objectives: Discuss what and how ISSA should/could help the sport!

After the film on friday night some of us can go back to the hotel and have a meeting.
It dosen´t need to be in a conference room, we find a place.

Donald, set up a list of guy´s who need to be there and matters to discuss.

Hi there Claude, what's up?

by Donald Campbell
alavoine,ramon...
we can all happily discuss who's gonna be #1 for next year later on with the representatives of the several countries at the gathering.
this is not the place for that kind of discusssion right now, excuse me for bringing it up.
so claude is gonna be there for canada.

i would suggest that we set the time and place for the discussion at the first riders meeting on friday.

If we do it I see it more like a social meeting but that is just as important. I we make good use of the current slalom scene I think we can make something really nice of it. But I agree that we need some kind of points to go through. We will only have 1 or 1 and a half hour so we need to be efficient. We must be finished before midnight.

On Friday the After skate bar at Mondo closes at 22:00 we can go over to the Malmen Hotel as Klang proposed and we will find a place to sit down.

Here is an overview of this topic so far...

Participants
Donald Cambell, GER
Paul Price, GBR
Chris Eggers, GER
Chris Hart, SUI
Jani Söderhäll, SWE
Dan Gesmer, USA
Mark McCree, USA
(Other americans?)
Jadranko Radovanovic, SUI
Hans Koraeus, SWE
Peter Klang, SWE
Claude Regnier, CAN
Jean-Paul Alavoine, FRA?

Points

- Big races 2006
- World Cup: Find a big main sponsor for the whole tour, format?
- World Championships 2006. Europe? Who's interested? Do we want it early in the season?
Proposals Europe: Paris, Hannover, Zürich, Antibes, Brixlegg
- World Ranking
- Coverage: Web, Magazines, DVD, TV, ...
- Our place (slalom skateboarders) in International and national skateboard associations

Don, I got your message and will be attending and LISTENING with interest.

I have not been following the ISSA issues and will have KAT copy off info for me to read up on while I am traveling. I asume the ISSA forum is the place to find this info and read up on other's comments.

Also, I asume the ISSA has a leader-spokesperson. Who might that be?

by Donald Campbell
hello mark

at the moment there is no real leader-spokesman for the issa
he would have to be elected by a bigger group of racers.
jani is the founder of issa and has only(as far as i can see it) good intentions in advancing the sport and giving its representation a certain format combined with set quality standards for each and any race.
paris was a good example...

basically we should see who we are at that meeting and where the interests are
2 hours is nothing but it's a start.
i will moderate a bit through the debates then,if i don't hear anything else from corky maybe?
hopefully at the end of the day-we will have at least a common understanding on the whole deal and its advantages for all of us.
some people are already doing a good job in promoting the sport(count yourself in)and we have to find ways to combine that power we have to advance to new levels.
let's see what it brings
i sincerely hope there is interest from the american side, besides your person.
so bring the boys with you.
especially jason,chicken,kenny,olson,richy+maria and so on
another person we should not forget is dan gesmer-if he is in stockholm.

as a prelim:we all should try to be open-minded at that meeting.

i knwo that a few people have slight griefs here and there-but that doesn't count in any way for the discussion we are having then.

the goal is and should be:how can we improve things fast and how can we go to the next level.
this season already showed a very good start and we have to advance from there.
we all have to fuel the stoke.

sorry, i can´t come to stockholm. i don´t find time to practise.
hopefully next year. have fun and enjoy the euros.
sorry no time to come to the discussion group. be sure, we will make a better hannover race next year. why do we need the issa?

there are a lot of answers. we are organizing races and we compete in races.
racer needs good races. good races needs good sponsors.

issa can guarantee for good races. we need the same rules, so everybody can practise under the same conditions. issa can help race organizers with there know how. by the way, big,big thank you to jani, dan and chris for helping us with our first race in hannover.

i hope we will have a european and american race serie in the future. maybe with the same sponsors worldwide, with lots of price money and nice girls at the price ceremony. and with rules made from skaters for skaters. issa is on the right way. hannover will support issa.

have fun in stockholm. good luck christoph, i have to go to rotterdam for the snickers world cup. i have a meeting there with the marketing manager from snickers. maybe they are interested to sponsor skateboard slalom. we will see.

Participants:

Don't forget:

Gints Gailitis, LAT
Anatoly Matsukevich, RUS
Elena Senina, RUS (can also help Anatoly with translations)
Luca Giammarco, ITA
Maurus Strobel, SUI

I'd also like to see a few CA representatives:

Steve Evans, USA
Richy/Maria Carrasco, USA
David Hackett, USA (but not coming I assume)

...and probably we forgot a few. You know who you are, just make sure you are there!

More thoughts later.

Worlds 2006

My vote goes definitly to Latvia.
A great place, a great support from the City, a lot of cheap accomodation, a lot of people, a great organisation, a great afterparty, a lot of Bars Clubs Restaurants, a lot of nice girls, spectators all the time
