Rental Cars at PDX

Post by Rick Floyd » Tue Jun 30, 2009 5:28 am

Alamo last-minute specials:
http://www.alamo.com/index.do?action=/h ... m_ig_offer

I just got a compact for $129 ($166 total) for 6 days.

You can thank Marty S. for the site, he told me about it.

Alamo won't give that rate to me - they said it is for 6/30 to 7/14 only. Tried the web site and called as well :(

Marty, work some more rental magic - you are the magic man...

Rental cars are harder to predict than local women hanging out in bars. Some go as planned and some don't.

Alamo did have that rate but it disappeared. Check Breezenet.com for the dates you need since that compares 6-8 different companies. They have a last minute section there too with a direct link to Alamo's deals. I will continue to check as believe it or not, I have yet to secure my own deal. Check 2-3-4 times a day as rates change like a women's temperment.

BTW, never call, that is where the worst deals are. Oh and don't forget hotwire.com. They dump cars there too.

Lavin - you can get an intermediate SUV (Ford Escape) from Budget for $249/week ($323 with taxes etc.), - use BCD offer code U030073.

LOL - I think I meant BAR-B-Q or however the hell you spell it. I can't recall her name (Antrim; I'm like a hit and run driver these days) but Rob can get it for us...

The real question is how did Rick end up with a rental car from HAWAII? Got a snorkel on that ride?

It was a one-way drop-off...Pontiacs are REALLY seaworthy little rides!! ;-) The Henry's Summer Ale wasn't bad either.
