My guess is Portland. We can have some cakes there and maybe burgers too.
After that I don´t have a clue.

Hey Wolf....

Depending on the deal you get there are 4 major airports within range of Hood. Portland is of course the best at about an hour drive away. Seattle comes in second at about 220 miles. Spokane, Wa is 290 and Boise Id is 360. Being that airfare is such a crapshoot, I am watching all four right now. I can't touch a fare to Portland out of Atlanta right now for under 430 bucks, and I'm bringing the wife and 4 kids. Sooooooo I keep waiting.

Accomodations are not cheap per se in Hood as there are a few hotels, but it's high season then so the rates are higher. Search a site like Travelocity for Mt. Hood Oregon and you'll get most of the obvious ones. We stayed one year in hood at a place called Praters Motel, it was cheaper but still if I remember for two beds and a bathroom so tiny that you had to step into the shower to close the door to reach the toilet it was 80 to 90 bucks per.

If your going for something different, try looking at renting a condo or house. We are going for a week and with 6 I was looking for comfort, kitchen etc. We used georgerentals.com and landed a 3 bedroom house with a pool, kitchen, computer area, garage for under 12 hundred for seven days. I know that sounds like a lot but I would have needed two hotel rooms for my brood, so it's actually about 171 per night, and it's sweet!!!! They had a bunch of houses and in town condos too. I believe that you could get them for certain days and your not restricted to a week. Hook up with a few guys and you could stay in a house for what, 50 bucks each per night? It's a sweet deal too when you can cook for yourself.

Good hunting, see you on the hill(s)
