From the 'Octane Sport' press orifice....

Octane Sport are pleased to welcome Sam 'the man I am (honest I am)'
Gordon to the Virage 'flow' team. Those that know Sam will know he has
been looking at rears for years. In his quest for satisfaction he has
tried many, paid for some, and ridden some very hard indeed. We feel
honoured that he joins the flow team and hope that the Virage helps
him to come higher up the podium.

End of massage.

No shame in appreciating fine booty, as our Eirish cousins will vouch:

Sell my G.O.G.s Carsten??? Never!

Damien Hirst has offered to preserve the trucks in Formaldehyde and display them in the Saatchi gallery where they will attain their deserved value as true high art.

Image

I said, "Oi Damien, No! You can stick your crazy artworks where the sun don't shine, but my G.O.Gs are staying one inch off the ground on a skateboard where they belong, in amongst the grit and plastic!"

Besides, the Virage trucks have a pack mentality.

Good for you, Sam. I doubt the formaldehyde would be good for the bushings, anyway.

"Well, f*ck me, Sammy, what have you been eating?"
Well done, mate!

We camped overnight on top of a slab of cheap beer and crushed eidelwiss.

Ouch, my head. Even the tinies were fast that day.

1st place in the B group after qualifying low. My reaction times in the start gate were non existent, so the trucks and deck carried me though:

Hog Hill Blighty Championships, June 2009

The following month sees us back on home shores. In fact, as shared organiser of the Hog Hill race, its a chance to give something back. Well, that's what the public face prefers to believe. The real agenda is to give British skaters a taste of good competition and encourage them to try the odd race abroad. More drinking partners, see.

International level credibility was brought by the Gang of Germany doing the fully-laden drive-by thang, with the Hookers of Holland ramped up on the bonnet of Donald's truck as he'd taken on roadkill in the lower countries. Pavel Race Team in full effect. Not bad considering that the Grenoble race was on the same day with wads of cash available to the victors.

We took them training. English style:

Image Image Image Image

There was racing. I'm sure of it. Loads. And a fast GS. And a Dutch surfer who swept the boards.
