From April 1st until October 1st 2009.

NieuweSloten SportsPark will have a Slalom school for the kids and racing training for the Dutch slalom skaters.

We are purchasing a time system, we already have a starting ramp and lots and lots of cones.

Bring your equipment and safety gear. No safety gear, no slalom.

The only think we are still not sure is the day of the week. It will be either on Saturday or on Sunday always in the morning.

An initiative from Flavio Badenes and The Dutch Crew together with the City of Amsterdam.

With all the kids I bring to school I'm in definite need for some extra gear.
Right now I'm ending on the side of the track watching the kids using my gear.

So a pair of extra trucks could come in handy...

So if anybody out there have any old equipment is doesn't use it any more please donate to our school, we have a lot of kids really willing to learn how to slalom skateboard.

I am also looking for a truck company to sponsor the school with a few pairs of trucks. That would hrlp us promoting slalom skateboarding, and would make your brand popular with the kids that are learning now.

It was again a good day at school.
For some of the kids it was their third day at school and one joined her second day.

The little boy Bo was ripping like a real slalomskater.

His sister Gwyn was still a bit uncomfortable but obviously enjoying herself.

Girlfriend Iris was improving with every descent.

Who visited Amsterdam last year know how difficult the location is. But after some descents all the youngsters went from the top.

The start ramp " Van Ernst " is very good, the right amount of sling effect.

For a video of our last session last Saturday check:

http://www.flaviobadenesskateboarding.c ... chool.html

9 year-old Bo Schardijn rips the course, this was just his third day at school.
then check Ernst coming down fast at the TS course. The TS was the same TS from the Euros and Ernst was ripping it.

Saturday the time system will be on.
So be there .....

<edit> One issue I would like to clear;
As a parent of two of the pupils I am the only one responsible for the risks they are taking.
In what I posted before it could be read that I think the school is responsible, that is not what I meant.

Regarding the track it should be challenging for everybody and I hope the better skaters will help me to improve my skills.
That´s all what school is about.

Skate and have fun.

Right course: from 10 to 10:50 : first a challenging HS
11 to 12 : PRO TS course from last year's ASS Euro.

We will start at 9 AM, it is a good idea to arrive a bit earlier and help with the set up.

Really I have too may things to take care of. I need to get them done and I only have the week-end to do it. Besides that I am saving some money for the contest in Amsterdam. Organizing a contest not only involves a LOT of hard work but in my case also paying for a few things myself. Just to give you an idea I had to pay about 650 Euros out of my own pocket for the POA Masters last November in Brazil and mind you I was just helping the organizers.
GOOD LUCK !! I am sure that the Dutch team that is traveling to the UK (Ernst, Bart and yourself) can do really well.

Question:

I know that Ernst is going to be present this Saturday (July 4th) in Amsterdam.
I was just called by some sort of newspaper that wants to come to the school this Saturday and check out what we are doing.
BART are you going to be there as well? Then I will tell the reporter to show up on Saturday otherwise they are not in a hurry and they can wait.
Please let me know if you are going to be there.
