Should we control the way juniors and girls (or anyone) can enter several categories?

Ie:
Should juniors be allowed to race both Jun and Am?
Should a girl be allowed to race both Wom and Am?

10.1. RACER CLASSIFICATIONS
The following racer classifications are recognized. Not every contest will award points, prizes, and
medals to every one of these classifications. A racer must race in one and only one classification
for each race.
· Open: Every racer may race in the “open” classification.
· Skill level (self declared grouping):
o Pro / Amateur
· Gender
o Female / Male
· Age:
o Juniors: (17 and under) racers who’s age will not reach 18 in the current year.
o Teens: (14 and under) those racers who’s age will not reach 15 in the current year.
o Kids: (11 and under) those racers who’s age will not reach 12 in the current year.
o Masters: Those racers who’s age is 45 years or older.
FYI: The existing rule provides that a racer only race in 1 class.

Are you proposing a change to this? Why?

There is nothing wrong with woman racing pro, or Jr racing AM --

As long as this is the ONLY class they enter in the race.

I don't know if it's should be considered wrong but we saw some racers entering different categories in the same event.
This rules is probably forgot or unknown (shouldn't but is..) to most of organizers....

Thank's Pat. This has happened quite a few times now. It's both good and bad, I just wanted a ruling in the case. I see now that the rules are crystal clear. Thank you.

You can close down this topic if you like.

I agree with the fact that one ride can ride ONLY in one category. All the rest would be wrong.
