The ISSA Rules are published. They are available at:

http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/ISSA/ ... S-2008.pdf

The best way to print these rules is by using your printer driver to make a booklet (2 pages per sheet, landscape paper, fold in middle). This will print all 16 pages on 4 sheets of paper, 1/2 sheet per page, so it can be folded in a booklet form.

If your printer cannot handle printing in booklet form, then you can conventionally print the rules on either 8 sheets (duplex -- one page on each side), or 16 sheets (simplex -- one page per sheet of paper).

Contest organizers and racers are encouraged to become familiar with these rules, as ISSA sanctioned events will be run using these rules. (Minor exceptions as indicated on the contest sanction application are allowed.)

I had a look at the rulebook and I'd like to share my thoughts and questions with everybody. some of the points are minor graphic problems.

- does the ISSA have a logo? put it in the rulebook

- I would call it 'ISSA rulebook'

- ISSA can be mentioned in headline on every page

- is a pointy nose a safety hazard? a saftey hazard for who? rider/oponent/spectators

- list of world cup points per rank for each status

- why is there no index

- page number

- link to website - more dominant, bigger

- ISSA on the title page

- name of ISSA president and person responsible for the rules

- no pictures - this is a rulebook, not a presentation/portfolio of the sport

- why can you have more than two trucks if only 4 wheels are allowed?

- 'slalom' logo is cut of on the second page

- on some pages it might be good to move one title with only one line of text to the following page (..... 6. Calculation of time)

- 9.6 / 9.7 sloped surfaces ------> please no 'space' before 'Sloped'
