Tuning an adjustable front GOG

Post by Martijn Nijs » Thu Sep 11, 2008 6:58 pm

Question,

When wanting to make the truck more or less turny, in what sequence would you go to work on it?
Do you try a different bushing first or change the angle of the hanger in relation to the baseplate.
Will going from a white to an orange khiro and going back 3 degrees in angle cancel each other out?

Thanks,

Martijn

Angle sets how quickly it turns; bushing sets how much effort to make it turn - turns the same no matter what.

The slacker the angle, the more leverage is applied to the bushing - need harder bushing to "feel" the same.

So, for your question; less angle, harder bushing may feel similar, but it will turn less sharply.

Thanks Earl, tried both options and works out like you said.
I wanted to be able to give more input and get a "beefier" feel.
Change the bushings, not the angles, thanks again!
